womanwhohunts
Re: Last time this happened Sorry to hear you lost your Dad at such a young age.I cannot imagine life without my Dad.He has taught me so much,I can never repay him for all he has done for me and my sisters. He always wanted a son and I tried to fill in the best I could.LOL.But I have 2 sons now that he can claim as hunting and fishing buddies. He also has 3 granddaughters and they are also getting to learn from him.I have always tried to make my Dad proud of me in everything I do.Every time we met at our place to go hunting and one of us gets something I can tell by the smile on his face he's happy with the things we do.We're all planning to camp together at our cabin this year for the fourth of July.I can't wait to kick back and enjoy the time we spend together. My Dad gets my vote for greatest Dad ever. Griz
Re: Last time this happened I can only imagine how you fill wtnhunt. Sorry to hear that. My dad has always took me hunting and fishing when I was a younger. When I got old enough to be out on my own will still went deer hunting and fishing together and shared some very fine memories but now my dad can't get out and around anymore because of his arthritis which pretty well keeps him down. So all I can do is share every venture with my dad. You can see it in his eyes that he wish he could be out there with me. Hang in there........ strubedog
Re: Last time this happened I can't imagine what that was like for you. Hopefully your mom, grandparents and your dad's friends have all shared stories with you so it feels like you knew him first hand. This has happened for me with my grandfather as I wasn't able to know either of them before they passed.
