NiteRunner
I've seen a few does last week that were pretty plump, and a set of last year's fawns by themselves. Haven't see any of this years Fawns yet, but they're coming... Anyone else noticed?
wtnhunt
Re: Fawns are Coming Yep, some of the does we are seeing around here look like they are getting pretty close. Had one in the backyard last Friday that looked like she could drop anytime.
Squirrelhunter91
Re: Fawns are Coming Yeah the big momma doe we have been watching since deer season. she is really fat and her belly looks very bloated. I hope she has triplets!
Tominator
Re: Fawns are Coming I've been seeing a lot of deer lately, but they all seem to be really small. Maybe last year's fawns? I think momma is running them off and looking around for spots to drop the new ones would be my guess. Probably start seeing new road kill soon. Doc
Re: Fawns are Coming Watch out for deer on the highways now. Some of last years fawns are completely on their own for the first time in their lives. They start traveling a lot and getting into places that they aren't all that familiar with. Many times, that place is right smack in the middle of your headlights. Doc
Mach1
Re: Fawns are Coming I've noticed does in our hunting area running hunched over lately, so I'd say the new crop of potential record book deer will soon be hitting the ground.
