Sure looked like he did the bumpin. Like I said, I don't have a favorite. Don't keep up with it really. Only watched the race cause my father-in-law was there. [/ QUOTE ] I have to disagree on this view Chrud, Jr. clearly bump-drafted the #4 just as JJ was drifting up to the wall, and the #4 ever so slightly hooked JJ's left rear bumber causing JJ to loose control and hit the wall...that is clearly shown on a couple diffirent network camera views...(as for admitting fault I do admitt that there are a couple of drivers that have showed that they will never admit any fault on being JJ). [/ QUOTE ] Which race was this? JJ didn't hit the wall in the first wreck he caused at 'Dega, all he hit was the 4 car. In the second wreck he hit the wall and then the 29 and others. If JJ doesn't try to block, I don't see the wreck happening. I'll agree with Biffle. He knows more about racing than I do. Re-read his statement about what was and wasn't the problem. And Texastrophies the #4 and the #8 were behind the #48 in the second wreck the so called BIG ONE....the #8 was bump-drafting the #4 at the time the #48 was drifting to the wall,,,I can't for sure say it was a block,,,,it looked to me to be a loose condition as the commentators stated as well. I really don't see fault by any of the drivers involved,,,I just can't believe all of the finger pointing after the fact... As for believing Biffle because he so called knows more than I would definately believe what Gordon has to say,,,,,he for a fact knows more about racing that Biffle.... I may be wrong, which wouldn't be the first time,,,but I did go back and rewatch the tape that I recorded and it clearly shows these 4 cars together just before the big wreck.... The real balame is on NASCAR for implementing restrictor plates and keeping the cars all bunched up. Guys like Junior, Gordon, Waltrip and others have the knack for it, but Jonson and many others have a hard time. For an organization that promotes safety so much, why are they running these races at Tona and Dega with cars all bunched up. Definitely not safe! Fun to watch? Oh yeah, it can be but definitely not when 25 cars are out of contention in one wreck. That isn't racing. HMS has finally caught & maybe passed DEI as far as the cars go for restrictor plate racing. Last weeks race was a perfect example why fast cars still need a great driver to win. Only Gordon was a factor for HMS. On the other note, it looks like JJ isn't a popular driver in the garage area. Lets just go this route for a momemt,,,what if JJ was bumped from behind and forced up the track like it shows in the replays,,,so it's still his fault then ?? or would you just call this an racing incident???? He admitted that him and JR were bump drafting, and flat out said that Jr. layed off him through the tri-oval. If Jr was at fault, don't you thgink that the first person to blame him would have been Mike Wallace. When Jr makes a bonehead move, I will be the first to call it. You JJ fans are the one wearing rose colored glasses! Jimmy Johnson is in the same situation that Jimmy Spencer was in a few years ago... whenever some thing happens, he is almost always in the middle of it. The difference is, even if it wasn't Spencers fault, he got blamed. With JJ everyone goes out of their way to make him look like the Golden Boy who can do no wrong. I hate JJ more each race I watch. If he would fess up, and just say"Yeah, I screwed up" once in a while, this wouldn't be an issue, but he Always tries to put the blame else where! The 48 then cut to the right, hitting the 4 sending him into the 10 and resulted in the 25 car wreck. But that's what NASCAR is all about...the drama..the soap-operaesque quality--admit it, we all like that aspect of the sport! Anyway, I think the FOX guys hit it right on the head...at first they thought Jr. caused it...then they caught JJ making contact with Mike Wallace. I'm not a fan of either driver, but like them both. I'd have to say that yes, Jimmie Johnson did cause the big one...but it would NOT have happened if Jr.'s bump draft didn't happen at the exact same time. Because of that...it's obvious it was NOT intentional and it was just one of "them racin' deals." Johnson did definitely cause the second wreck, but I can't really get on his case for that one...he hit the wall. You're bound to take someone out with you when you do that at speeds approaching 190 mph. I can't think of anyone intentionally causing a wreck that involves taking themselves out completely. (Well, maybe Tony Stewart in the past...LOL) One of the things that I find most interesting is the hardcore Dale Jr fans that were hardcore Dale Sr. fans. If the Intimidator did what Jimmie Johnson did...and did it intentionally, you'd be jumping for joy. We all have blinders for our favorite drivers I think. I should have added in my post that I liked how during the red flag that Jr. was willing to talk to the FOX guys about what he saw...always like when drivers aren't afraid to do that. Dale never shied away from admitting he was trying"ruffle another drivers feather". If he did it, he owned up to it. A lot of people loved SR. A lot of people hated SR. ( though most of them won't admit it now). But, everyone respected him as a driver! Look when he won the Daytona 500. Every team lined up on pit road to congratulate him. Every one of those teams at one point or another had been on the recieving end of his front bumper. You will never, ever see Jimmy Johnson earn that kind of respect.
