In the spring when the farmers are seeding I cannot get enough of the smell of freshly worked earth. It takes me back to my younger days when I would go with mom to take lunch to dad in the field. Then later in life when I would sit back and feel good about finishing seeding a field on my own. Now I'm 250 miles from home and the farm, but in the spring when I smell the DIRT, in my mind I go back to that place. DIRT makes me miss home.
