went to the local hoyt, bowtec, and pse delear last night. I was able to shoot the bowtec and hoyts. they did not have any pse bows on hand mad.gif though. the hoyt and bowtec were a pleasure to shoot. in the end I liked the hoyt (the vipertec) a tad better. and had them work up a price for it. all said and done the new bow would cost me 800.00. OUCH! shocked.gif I took mine for comparision and I was amased at how nice the new bows shoot compaired to mine (a 4+ year old pse thunderbolt). I will have to go else where and try out the matthues bows and find another shop with pse.

I shot the PSE as well, very popular brand by me, while on a business trip, I got the chance to shoot a Switchback,,PSE was very nice, but Switchback felt way better, for same price,, rounding up my spare change for a Switchback, good luck and good huntin'!!!

Yeah, do yourself a favor don't buy a bow without at least shooting the Mathews Switchback first. The thing just plain rocks.

I was gonna say the same thing... Try the switchback, and the outback before you decide. They are both incredibly smooth bows, and the SB is so quiet and so fast, its unbelievable.

Some day i'll try the mathews. People say its all hype, but guys i know that have them swear by them. I shoot a browning thats about 3 yrs old, and have had any problems with it. Before that i shot an old PSE Thunderbolt, I mean like 15 years old. I've taught myself to shoot good with everthing I've ever had. With the right equipment I could be a tack driver.

It seems to be the consensus that the Switchback is sweet. You've definetly sparked my interest!
