Did you hear about the shed hunter that was attacked by a bear in N.E. Saskatchewan? It sounds like he was chewed up pretty bad. Norquay is pretty close to where I grew up and where we do most of Ruffed Grouse hunting. This'll have my kids looking over their shoulder when we are out this fall!

[ QUOTE ]

When he hit the ground, Rudachyk was briefly knocked out, but upon regaining consciousness he was able to crawl to his car about 700 metres away.

"I couldn't even turn and look back, because I figured if he was going to come after me, I didn't want to know. I was that scared."

Despite excruciating pain, he managed to drive himself home.

"I don't know," he said. "God must have been on my side."

[/ QUOTE ]

I can only imagine how scared he must have been, hearing that. Sure glad he got out alive. Blackbears can be pretty contankerous at times. Kinda like people...you never know when your going to run into a contankerous one.

My mother told me about that a couple days ago. It happened only one hour from where I live.

You have a much better chance of being in a car accident or being killed by a bee sting than ever being attacked by a black bear,"

that guy must have some pretty bad luck then......I cant imagine how horrible an experince like that would be
