Smitteken
Re: Any one from West Central Illinois? I live about 35 miles southeast of St. Louis in New Athens, right on the Kaskaskia River. I hunt St. Clair and Monroe counties. I can't really complain about our deer. I usually get a couple looks at good bucks each year, despite the hunting pressure. with a little effort into management our population is growing from year to year. I applied for a second season permit for Crab Orchard this year.
Born4it
Re: Any one from West Central Illinois? Macomb is about as west central as you can get! It's always good to hear about successful people from the area, which is a pretty regular occurance. Actually, the "Macomb Monster" or Scott Dexter's 46 point brute was checked in by my best friend's girlfriend at the McDonough County check station, so that's our claim to fame here. Good meeting you, and good luck this season! Ryan
