muggs
Why do we, as outdoorsman, avidly support W. I think it has a lot to do with, his "down home" image. That is another point, how does a person who attended boarding schools all his life on the east coast, and who graduated from an Ivy League School, Yale manage to pull off this "good ol boy" persona? I voted for him because I always vote Republican and believed him to be a strong constituent of conservation and preservation. Lately, I'm beginning to realize that that might not be true. I'm curious, why do you support him?
ParrotHead
Re: Pres. Bush and sportsman Don't get me wrong - I voted for him twice but that doesn't mean I agree with everything he does. The reasons why? 1. He's a Republican 2. He's not a democrat 3. He wasn't Al Gore 4. He wasn't John Kerry There are 4 good reasons right there! robk
Re: Pres. Bush and sportsman i am republican and i don't always vote that way i am a vietnam veteran and though gw moved to the ng status he didn't lie about what was really happening during vietnam but kerry did and he did it well. so wrong man to put in white house and it was shown. kerry is a wuss and he showed it in the 70's and he lied about his fellow brothers at arms. as far as i am concerned the people got pasdt kerry and knew he was a liar and he lied about his being for the hunting and fishing skills as well. one other thing he didn't throw his medals away either rob k

Norm Sauceman
Re: Pres. Bush and sportsman I NEVER NEVER NEVER vote party lines. I think that is the worst thing in the world to do. I think you should vote for the person and NOT the party they are affiliated with. There are several good people in each party and I vote for the one person running that I feel would do the better job. Oh, MY party affiliation, you ask? AMERICAN! wtnhunt
Re: Pres. Bush and sportsman I generally vote the best person suited to do the job. He is in my opinion the best suited of the choices we had. Think most of us do see Bush more likely to be an outdoorsman than any of the other candidates he ran against as well, which does not hurt either.
