craig mack
Re: Ted Nugent I respect the guy for promoting hunting and everything that goes with it but I dont think he is a great person like alot of people think. He just recently had a child with a woman who wasnt his wife. Everyone has their faults, I know I have mine, but for someone who is so outspoken and opinionated I think he needs to check himself before he checks others. JMO Besides he just moved from the great state of Michigan to Texas
PAhardwoods
Re: Ted Nugent [ QUOTE ] he is just a bit over the top and seems to actually turn MANY people off to the sport. I personally think his ramblings are a bit much many times. [/ QUOTE ] I agree 100 percent i think the guy is a clown really i got to hear him talk a couple years ago at the elk county elk fest most of the stuff that comes out of his mouth is nonsense Cody
Ravin R10 man
Re: Ted Nugent Im glad he does not do drugs.....he's hard enough to tolerate now!! Other than "Fred Bear" I cant stand that noise anymore. Great spokesman when he wants to be for the hunting/gun owners of USA, but yes I too am tired of that jiberjab made up nonsense he speaks
fisherguy
Re: Ted Nugent Not a huge fan of his music, but i love his attitude. He had me won over when i heard him say something to the effect of, "Every time Pam Anderson and Paul McCartney go on a PETA crusade i am going to kill ten of something." tedicast
Re: Ted Nugent I agree...he is just too full of himself. I turn his show off when it comes on now. the last show I watched of his, he was hunting, I believe in Michigan, and he was i nthe tree with both his gun, and his rifle. What's up with that? It was supposedly legal( In CT you cannot have a firearm in your possesion while bowhunting), but even so....make a choice and stick with it. Pick on or the other. If the monster comes by out of bowrange, well, thats bowhunting. He thinks he is the greatest thing since sliced bread, at leadt thats how he acts.. He comes across way too high and mighty for me. Strut_Buster
Re: Ted Nugent The Nuge is awesome. being in the younger generation that he trys to target. I think he does a great job. I've seen him in several debates and he shuts people down. His enthusiasm is great to watch. A lot more interesting then Realtree 90% of the time. deerhunter10
Re: Ted Nugent Personally I like the way he tries to appeal to the young generation and get them into the outdoors. But one time I saw a show he was on and he just went out in his truck with his gun in the middle of the night and went out and killed a small buck and killed it just so he could use its urine for buck lure. That is one thing I saw that I couldn't stand.

Guest Finn
Re: Ted Nugent I support and defend Ted Nugent. No good comes from throwing stones at someone who is promoting hunting and gun ownership.
ZooBear
Re: Ted Nugent Ted is Ted. What else can you say? He has done a lot more than I ever could to promote hunting and gun rights. Crazy or not He is on our side!

RangerClay
Re: Ted Nugent [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I don't feel that he has accomplished ANYTHING in the bowhunting world that any of us couldn't have done with his "budget". [/ QUOTE ]Your budget is a big factor in being considered a great hunter these days. [/ QUOTE ] So What! At least he is using his budget to foster our great sport! How many big stars are sportsmen and don't put up one red cent! [ QUOTE ] I think the guy is a loon. [/ QUOTE ] Michigan Conservationist of the year Penn. Conservationist of the year National Arbor Day Foundation Conservationist of the year. NRA Board of Directors Several Golden Moose Awards I can go on and on! He would not have received these honors if he wasn't doing something right. [ QUOTE ] Ted is Ted. What else can you say? He has done a lot more than I ever could to promote hunting and gun rights. [/ QUOTE ] Well said!!!!!!!!!!! He may be different than you and that makes it easy to throw stones but he is getting the job done a lot better than I could ever dream of and I applaude him for that. too_pointer
Re: Ted Nugent Ted is from Mi. like myself. Ya, he talks abit too much, but he has done enormous things for hunters, especially the younger ones. I like his shows and tapes as they portray what hunting is really like. He doesn't fluff thing up I understand he is moving to Waco, Tx. Mi. folk and kids will miss him much too_pointer
Tony
Re: Ted Nugent so with the many faults that Ted has as many of you have stated.. you dont care as long as hes on our side ? Hmm would you support Charlie Manson if he liked to bowhunt ? i have met Ted and i have seen many of his rock concerts from as far back as 1979... i like his music . but i have to qusestion his motives for being the so called savior of bowhunters... there are many others out there that speak so well for us.. as for Ted being our representitive i say vote him out.. hes making us all look like blood thirsty killers and we know bowhunting is more than just the kill.. muggs
Re: Ted Nugent [ QUOTE ] that i think we can agree on.. he is excited most of the time i think.... [/ QUOTE ] Ya think? I think he's has the potential to be a great spokesman for the sport, he's really well spoken and intelligent. But some of his quotes do give Anti's a lot of ammunition, sorry for the bad pun. If he could tone it down a bit, it might help the sport in general. I get a kick out of his show, but he sells out to promote anything. Seems like he's to interested in the almightly dollar. Plus, he hunts on ranches a lot, to me that's not hunting, fair chase is the only way I'd support any hunting show.
