Here's a great matched set. 52 inches wide, 186 gross. Not too shabby for a Southern BC Bull. cool.gif

Nice shots - those paddles sure fill up the frame. Were you saving this spot or did you just happen upon it? Seems like a lot of antlers for a spot this late in the year. Most of my deer antler hotspots have been picked clean by this time of the year.

LDB,

I've been saving this spot, waiting for it to be snowfree. I don't have any competition from other shed hunters so I can let spots like this sit a little longer until I'm done looking for muley sheds in other areas.

My 2 buddies and I went to a different spot last year and our 1 day total was 30. Didn't think we'd be able to beat that but we did. A lot of hiking back and forth. The area is thick with False Box (an Evergreen) and it hides the sheds really well. Sometimes you have to step on the shed before you actually see it.

Deershed,

I'll probably sell most of my moose sheds. Except I may keep that matched set. The money really helps pay for things like taxidermy. Put the downpayment down on my cougar with moose shed money and hope to pay it off that way too. smile.gif

Fisherguy,

It was rather comical trying to get them back to the truck. I forgot rope, so I tied all mine together with flagging ribbon. It worked, but just barely. smile.gif

Shaun,

Actually moose sheds in this area are pretty hard to find. You must know the G-Spot or else it's hiking your butt off all day with maybe only an old chaulky one to your credit at the end of the day. I happen to know the G-spot. smile.gif Even with that, the terrain is very thick, the false box grows boot deep and I've had many a time where I only found a shed when I heard my boot clunk on it. LOL! Other areas it's choked full of slide alder. You are lucky if you can see 10 feet in front of ya. I was in an area like that today. Had a good scare as it is perfect grizz habitat. I heard a noise and then a couple seconds later a big brown and grey object was 20 feet from me. Turned out to be a moose rather than a grizz. smile.gif

Here are some more pics of some of the bigger sheds I found that day.
