AJ
Since you mentioned turkey, ducks and geese, I would opt for the 12 ga. If you were to shoot Hevi Shot in the gun the 20 ga would work, but for geese, the 12 ga rules. The Benelli is a decent gun.
Guest gobblergetter15
Re: Benelli M1 Field Go for the 12 . Your gonna get alot more power out of the it than the 20.
waterfowler_gal
Re: Benelli M1 Field I have a M1 in a 20 gauge-for the price you pay I would just go for a 12 so you can use it for everything. All-around shotgun-thats my opinion.
Tominator
Re: Benelli M1 Field As much as I hate to recommend a 12, I'd say the 12 because you mention waterfowl, and turkey. Crows might be a poke too with a 20, unless you're a good caller and can get them close. Speaking of blackbirds--I need to eliminate a few in my field--they eat my sweet corn seedlings. [ QUOTE ] The Benelli is a decent gun. [/ QUOTE ] Nice to know AJ likes the Benelli, I've had a Montefeltro 20 for about 5 years now--I love that gun. too_pointer
Re: Benelli M1 Field I agree with the 12. You can load down for other game. It would be the most versatile gun for all game you mentioned too_
Shaun_300
Re: Benelli M1 Field i'd go for the 12ga as well. like too_ said, its the most versitale gun of the two sizes. the 12ga ammo is cheaper than the 20ga too mind you when i was down in the states, there wasnt much difference between the two, but up here in Canada, the ammo prices are a little cheaper for the 12ga.
