Gus
First ones I have ever found at our place. The little one is 1 1/2 long, the other one 4 1/2 inches long. Found them while out turkey hunting.

ILSNIPER1
Re: Arrowheads Gus, Nice finds.. you might want to keep an eye on that spot, if you found those two in the same area, there will be more washing out. As for point type, I'm not sure about the big white one.. It looks to be missing the base? Probably just a knife. The small triangular is an actual arrowhead/dart point (also called bird points) they were actually used for hunting small game. Most arrowheads are several thousand years old. If you want/need more info just let me know. Later, Phil B.

The little one was found in one of our feeder pens, no telling how many times I have walked around in it looking at the ground and never seen it before. The bigger one does look like the base is knocked off, and the edges are still sharp. There is lots of flint around our place, so no telling how many are around out there. My mom has a perfect arrowhead that my grandpa found out there, I will try and take a picture of it this weekend and put it up for you to look at. buckee
Re: Arrowheads That's cool Gus That big one looks like it could be a small axe head or a spear head. Pretty cool find.
ILSNIPER1
Re: Arrowheads Gus, I would like to see that point your talking about. Here are some of the points I found a couple of months ago, the axe is both mine & my dad's.. we both spotted it at the same time! lol He said "There's an" & I said AXE! Anyway, My dad & I go out every weekend & if we have time, we go in the mornings before work. Right now were waiting on some more rain to get the fields washed down a little better. As soon as I get my scanner hooked back up I'll scan some of the more recent finds & post them. Later, Phil B.
Gus
Re: Arrowheads Those are some neat Phil Seeing that last picture you put up reminds of something my dad found a few weeks ago while he was working on his backhoe. It is something that was used maybe for grinding food, I will get a picture of it also.
Jeramie
Re: Arrowheads Depending on the size of the first it couldnt be a spear or arrowhead. The knife theory is possible too but all of the knives we have always found were much longer. Great find! [ QUOTE ] what a neat find---i have never found an arrowhead! congrats todd [/ QUOTE ] Give me a call... They are all over out here. You just need to know where to look. We looked for the longest time when we were kids and we have TONS to show for it.

deershed
Re: Arrowheads Awesome finds guys!! I've never found an arrowhead, would love to though. What do you do just walk the plowed fields looking on the ground? I live close to Gettysburg,Pa so I'm sure most surrounding areas were probably picked over from people looking for Civil War artifacts. Turkeygirl
Re: Arrowheads Incase you don't know, the whitish ones, not sure what rock they are, but they can be really old arrow heads! My mom found a whitish one and we have a couple arrowhead books that talk about the Indians and what period they are from. Nice finds!
