Gator
Now why in the world did he not get penalized for his tantrum last week at Darlington? He cursed a NASCAR official, threw a water bottle at another, blatanly ignored them when instructed to turn his engine off, yet only gets a "talking to". Other people curse in a moment of happiness, they get the "smack down" layed on them, what is going on in NASCAR???

VermontHunter
Re: Kurt Busch LOL,,,sorry man I had to... I have no clue as to why Kurt got away with his tantrum,,,all I can guess is that NASCAR wants to continue being inconsistant with their calls.... It is cazy tho ain't it ??? VermontHunter
Re: Kurt Busch [ QUOTE ] does anybody on here do some cursing [/ QUOTE ] Here on the forums NO,,,,,in public maybe,,,but we aren't being televised to a Nation either and drivers and theirs crews are held to a higher standard that you and I. So cursing while in the activity of a race or interview is a BIG NO,NO....

IowaDeerHunter
Re: Kurt Busch This just goes to prove that Nascar doesn't let Dale Jr. get away with everything, they are just VERY inconsistent.
slugshooter
Re: Kurt Busch I must have missed the tantrum. At what part of the race did it occur. I know they said he was having to go to the NASCAR trailer for a lecture along with Mikey and Jeff Green, but I hadn't heard about all this other stuff. The only reason I can think of with him not getting penalized is maybe the cussing wasn't heard on TV, I don't know. Someone enlighten me as to when and under what circumstances this occured. I know he was getting the lecture for failing to heed the black flag. What did he get black flagged for anyway. Sorry for all the questions. I was in and out of the bedroom all night, all this probably happened when I dozed off for a bit.

Guest bexar_county89
Re: Kurt Busch I'll agree whole heartedly they are being inconsistent in their punishment! I'm not going to name names but if one gets points docked and a fine, for cursing then so should someone else who does.

fisherguy
Re: Kurt Busch On nascar.com it said that it was not on race corerage, but was available on the track pass radio or some thing that you can subscribe to. Either way, it was broadcast to some extent, and he was cursing out afficials, threw a water bottle at one, and was generally being verbally abusive. Even if it hadn't been broadcast at all you would think that would warrant a fine and some points(if they wanted to be consistant)
slugshooter
Re: Kurt Busch From what one of my co-workers told me at shift change, it happened when he came in to honor the black flag that apparently he didn't agree with. He threw his water bottle, which, I would think would be hard to do given the constraints inside the car, and was apparently cussing over the radio. My feelings on radio traffic are this. Every team has a disclaimer that they broadcast on said drivers frequency before the race starts, warning of possible bad language, it is the persons choice whether to listen or not, that said, NASCAR needs to implement a delay just like TV has in order to bleep out any bad language, and trust me, I have heard some whoppers from Kyle Petty and Mike Waltrip over their radios, words starting with F, these guys are not boy scouts, in the heat of battle they will say whatever they want. I don't agree with networks broadcasting radio transmissions, I agree that it is part of the allure now, fans being able to listen to their driver and crew during the race, but NASCAR knows what is said on these radios. It should be NASCAR's responsibility to make sure anything objectionable doesn't make it out over the air, because as soon as they start telling drivers that they can't curse over the radio when they are talking to their crew, is the day that NASCAR has some big problems on their hands. RTF
Re: Kurt Busch He was blacked flag for not lining up on a restart properly. He said he was and Nascar said he wasnt. He was blacked flaged for it and thats when it all started. I feel if you are paying for the service (track pass) then FC regs dont apply like with cable TV HBO, Cinmax etc..... Guest RJK
Re: Kurt Busch "It don't mean $#!+ right now" to a TV reporter gets 25 points in the thick of the cup chase, but cursing an official, throwing a water bottle and ignoring instructions from an official gets a talking to? I guess that is the difference in how you handle a grown man and a child. Kurt Busch should have got his @&& paddled and sent to bed without supper, what a cry baby. spyderpancake
Re: Kurt Busch So they can curse as long as it doesn't get caught on camera? If they had been showing the in-car, like they did with Shane Hmiel, would they have penalized him? It doesn't make sense, how do they know when the camera is on them?
