Re: Please!

Squirrel,

Why do you want an electronic caller? Does your state allow them for hunting? My state does not so check your local laws. Plus one of the joys I get from hunting is calling in turkeys and deer with calls that I have to produce the sound. That is the fun part of hunting. Pushing a button takes the thrill out of it.

Anyways if your interested in them I do know Cabela sells them for about $20.00 or so. Deer, Turkey, and I believe a Predator one as well.

Good luck!

Lou

Re: Please!

AdvantageTimberLou, I want to go predator hunting and I have been told that electronic is the way to go with some hand calls. I am having a few custom calls made and now I just need the electronic one to complete it. I have the Predator Cass Creek Caller, but it doesn't reach the volume level that I need it to reach.

007hunter, that's another thing. I almost sold the gun to a guy in Canada in March. But then, customs came into the question.

Then let me guess,

You chickened out because you were too scared to ship it across?

I highly doubt they would let that come over the border. I don't think he "chickened" out because he was scared. Most likely because he has a good head on his shoulders and common sense took over....

Then another thread saying that it is difficult to get a gun from Canda into the states....

Re: Please!

Squirrel,

Your a nice young guy but you have to realize like Fisherguy said, these are classifieds and not auctions. You set the price and if someone offers it you can't wait for a higher price from someone. All this does for you is in the future, people will be very wary of dealing with you.

It's not E-bay, we are not trying to outbid each other. I know you just wanted to trade it for a predator call but please in the future if someone offers more after a deal you have with someone else, please try to refrain and keep your first deal regardless of making more money.

I did not raise the price, the other guy did. The other guy was really interested and so he went up an xtra $25 so he could make sure that he would get it.

Squirrel,

What Lou is nicely trying to say is that if your going to deal in here you need to stick with your word or people aren't going to want to deal with you. I don't know all the details on this transaction but what I can see is that your original post in March where you wanted $30 or trade was answered by Addct approx 30 minutes after you posted it. If he offered you the $$ you were asking for as he says then it should be a done deal barring payment. If you had another guy offer you $25 more than your asking price that tells me that it was already sold barring payment as noone is going to offer you twice as much if they don't have to. The other guy raised the price, you didn't - but if you broke a deal for an extra $25 what you are actually selling is your integrity as a seller. If $30 is what you wanted the first person that offered to pay your asking price is who should get the chance to buy it under the terms that you asked. You have the responsibility to selling items as you list them, no matter what is offered afterwords or during a transaction with someone.

It's all about trust.

Let me give an example from a different perspective... let's say you came in here and saw a brand new electronic pretator call for $5... you've wanted one and you know they sell for alot more than that so you pm the guy and say if he still has it you want it... he say still for sale and it's yours barring payment... you reply great send me your address... he replies oh just got an email from somebody and I told them it was sold, he really wants it and offered me $15 more if I sell it to him instead, I know I said I'ld sell it to you first but your going to have to beat his price to get it.

I have a feeling you wouldn't be to happy in that situation and would be very leery of dealing with that person again. My point that I'm trying to get across is you can't take responsibility for someone offering you more money to break a deal but you have to take responsibility if you choose to break your word and except it.

It's all about trust
