Guest 3006
ANY OF THOSE EXPERTS OUT THERE I NEED SOME ADVICE. THIS IS THE LAST WEEKEND OF THE INDIANA SEASON AND IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE RAINY AND STORMY. HOW DO I HUNT THE BIRDS IN THESE CONDITIONS ? DO THEY TEND TO HEAD TO ROOST EARLIER WHEN RAINING AND STORMING IS PRESENT?
Bow Hunter Derek
Re: BAD WEATHER HUNTING!!!!!!!!!!!! Hire me and I'll come over and guide for you tomorrow. I need to stop and see your uncle anyway. Kidding. I'm supposed to take a buddie Saturday and call for him, but if that falls through and you want someone to go out with you drop me a PM with a phone number and I'll get back with you. As far as hunting them in the rain, head for their favorite fields. For whatever reason, turkeys like to be in the open field if it rains. My experience has been that they don't talk as much either, which is little change considering how they've acted in Indiana this year. One good thing, it is easy to sneek in quite in the rain. MossySNPR
Re: BAD WEATHER HUNTING!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah Derek you got it. And when its stormy, you can sleep in for an extra hour! In that weather, I also find they leave the roost an hour or two later.
