Another animal encounter!

I just read the post about the jake turkeys. That would have been so cool.Ive had a few diff encounters here in Sask. When we were muley hunting,I jumped a doe & 2 yearlings. The doe & one fawn took off but not to far.The other fawn just ran in a circle & stopped on the path in the middle of the buck brush in front of me.I could tell that it was trying to hear something. It was looking right through me.I walked slowly towarsds it & got within inches of it.It looked perfectly normal. But my heart sank when I realized that it was blind. It was just standing there trying to here where her mother had gone.I turned around & quietly walked away to find a diff hunting spot

While we were moose hunting this year, dad turned around from where he was sitting to see a wolverine walking down the path towards him.It got within 15 ft of him.He said that once it saw him it just scampered into the bush.I told him that he was lucky that it didn't fight him for his lunch.

Re: Another animal encounter!

pretty cool

one day while i was sitting on a rock scouting a raccoon moseyed down the path. he got about 10 feet from me and stopped. he turned around, and walked back. 5 minutes later he came down the same path, this time he got bold. came right up to me, got on his hind legs reached his nose up to my boot and took a sniff. that's all he wanted with me i guess because he turned tail and ran. i think he must have been denning up in the rocks there and i was in between him and his house.
