Elwood
Re: monster trout (tips?) Live bait may be the only way to get one on the hook. 4 pound test, No. 10 hook, and a med nightcrawler. Throw it out there without a weight and let it sink slowly. Just hook the worm one time throught the body. The slow fall will look natural to the old smart trout and he may bite. The rest is up to you. Good luck Elwood

stevebeilgard
Re: monster trout (tips?) if you can tie a fly to immitate what is in the area, the big boy may hit it. he lives by eating what's in the area. grasshopper, mouse, frog, who knows. see what's in the water, and immitate that.
