I can't seem to have a normal hunt and it is starting to get to me. Besides trying to sqeeze in time to hunt wwith this stupid soccer stuff. I have saw deer every morning in the stand. They either smell me or walk over my trail and get skitish. I have also Missed twice with my bow (Whole other story) that hacked me off enough. Anyway I got over that and this morning went out with the muzzle loader and guess what. first light a big mature doe come walking perfect... i heard her from like 60 yds away and grabed my gun she ended up muzzling around at 10 yds!!!!!!!! I shot thought I made a great shot beings it was only 10 yds, I couldn't see where she went because of the smoke. I waited another 2 hrs before getting down because it was so early. When i got down to where she was standing I saw tons of white hair and my heart dropped for I knew I had gut shot it confused.giffrown.gif WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET A NORMAL HUNT P.S i fairly sure I can recover this deer, Im going out tomarrow morning and looking, i have a good idea she is in this thicket. Thanks for reading I needed to vent a little and get all this anger, fustration, whatever else out.

Re: Fusterating

you think she will be dead? It is a terribly shot... no blood at all Unfortunatley. they can live up to 12hrs on a gut shot right?... That would be 7:00 tonight and it will be dark. Tell me what you think

Re: Fusterating

I would go look around at least. IF you follow the trail and there is still not much sign maybe wait. I would give it a shot later on today and if it still looks that bad then maybe wait till mornign to avoid pushing her. At 10 yards you may have got a bit beter hit than you think, and if you clipped teh liver or spleen or an artery she could bleed internally since the guts will plug teh hole.
