hunter_mike
went back to eighty yards yesterday and started lobbing some arrows. Its fun watching the arrows fly. I had some pretty good shots too. A couple were within 6 inches of the dot i was aiming at. it takes like 3 seconds for the arrow to go that far too. I reccomend shooting at a farther distance than they are used to shooting at you will improve your accuracy a lot.
JimT
Re: 80 yards I shoot from that far when I have some dinged up arrows..thats about it...Fun stuff. Would never take a shot at an animal that far though.
Doc
Re: 80 yards Long shots are a lot of fun on the practice range. I have always loved watching the arrow fly down to the target on that 80 yard NFAA target. Don't ask me what the big appeal is, I just know that it is a whole lot of fun. I'm not particularly good at it and usually am satisfied with just keeping the arrow on the butt. But there certainly is something magical about watching that arrow arc its way down to the target. Its fun watching the arrows fly...............it takes like 3 seconds for the arrow to go that far too. [/ QUOTE ] 80 yards is 240 feet........so if it took like 3 seconds for your arrow to get there, your bow has only mustered 80 FPS !! Just hackin' on ya...
