MadHuntinPastor
Yes...confession is good for the soul. I am going up to NY and hunting Sunday and Monday for turkey. It will be a little strange hunting on a sunday since it isn't allowed here in VA. It may be just what I need to get my first bird!! So those of ya going to church this week....say a prayer for the pastor on vacation hunting turkeys!! I'll let ya know how it goes!

MadHuntinPastor
Re: Sunday hunting for a Pastor?? Buffalo area. My wife is from there and her whole family hasn't seen our little6 month old. Soooo her cousin and I are taking this as an opportunity to hit the woods together. I'm not exactly sure but he says it is about an hour drive from his place.
WaCoyote
Re: Sunday hunting for a Pastor?? I don't understand the no sunday hunting laws. It just seems so weird. Does anybody know why they exist, or where they originated? Are they just one of those old time laws that has just been around for so long that people just don't question it? WaCoyote
Re: Sunday hunting for a Pastor?? Guess thats as good an explaination as any. Thanks! My buddy is a really devout catholic and doesn't like me hunting on sunday. I bagged a nice gobbler on easter once. He was appauled!LOL. I hunt sundays during deer and turkey season. The deer season is short here and during turkey season I need all the days I can get. They're tough!!
