RTF
Good one for Martin and me too Anyhow I about freaked after seeing Newmans crew pile drive into the crowd like a rock concert. Was that guy wearing a wig or is that his real hair ? There was children in that crowd that could have been seriously hurt. Vickers did a bad move to win IMO. And how about that big crash ! Was Tony at fault or was it in the script
Chrud
Re: ALL Star Race Glad Mark won. Otherwise, it was a snooze fest. Vickers is a prick, just like that other guy at Hendrick. I can't believe he blamed Bliss for it too . It's one thing when someone bumps someone on a short track doing 120 MPH. It's a terrible move when you are going 185 MPH through a dogleg on a straight-a-way for a "win" in an exhibition race. It was part of the script. Make it look like Stewart did it, when he really didn't do anything. I do see his view...he didn't speed up, Nemecheck must have backed off, that is a place where lifting happens a lot. IowaDeerHunter
Re: ALL Star Race I also wasn't very happy with what Vickers did to Mike Bliss. The race was ok. I don't think Stewart intentionally wrecked Joe. But what do you all think about Harvick and Nemechek. I think joe, should get over Harvick because that wreck at Daytona wasn't his fault. I don't know who was the first to exchange words in the infield grass, but I don'tlikeJoe. harvick said, "I'm getting really tired of Joe Nemechek acting like he don't do nothing," Harvick said. "It may not have been his fault, but after Daytona and [Nemechek commented] I should be fired and all that, he can take that and shove it where the sun don't shine, baby. "The worst thing about it is, all these cars are what we're brining back next week. Pisses me off, to say the least, but I'm just tired of [Nemechek] running his mouth." Joe said,"Looks like Tony Stewart got his nose in there making it three wide coming off the corner," Nemechek said. "He got in there and got in my left rear quarter panel and started turning me and I hit Kevin and I just caused a heck of a big wreck." "You know, if guys want to race like that if Kevin Harvick wants to be the [expletive] that he is, that's wrong, you know?" Nemechek said. Guest deldeer
Re: ALL Star Race i don't like vickers, & i did feel bad but.....vickers moved on & bliss went home with his feelings hurt. we can sit here and debate who's wrong & who's right & for a chance at a million bucks.........i'd run over all of them myself!!!!!!!.....& as far as steward is concerned, he did no more wrong than when JJ got into the back of him when he lifted or hit the brakes a few weeks ago. it is part of racing.....geeeeez....... [/ QUOTE ] Stewart didn't directly put 100% blame on Nemecheck like JJ did to Stewart though. And it was off a corner, where a significant amount of lifting occurs. JJ wrecked Stewart on the straight-a-way. I love Harvick's attitude. But, JJ said he should have been fired, not Nemecheck.

iabow
Re: ALL Star Race They did, Joe drove his golf cart in front of Kevin and begin to exchange words and throw bottles at each other. Then during an interveiw he was saying Richard should fire him and so forth because Kevin shouldn't have bump drafted JJ in the corner like an idiot so forth, he was very upset. Maybe even more then JJ.

MUDRUNNER
Re: ALL Star Race Bliss did deserve that spot, but stuff like that is bound to happen in that situation. Joe and Kevin just have bad blood between the two of them. That deal wasn't really anybodies fault imo. When your racing that close it doesn't take much to spin a few cars.It was good to see two guys show some real emotion and share a few words when they got out of their cars after the wreck. texastrophies
Re: ALL Star Race Can't really blame Vickers for what he did, it was what was required to win the race, but like Chrud said, not really the right track for that move. The problem I have with it is he would not admit or own up to the fact that he dumped Bliss. Instead he took the Company line and blamed it on someone else, Hendricks must focus on that during new employee orientation. Never heard that out of Terry, tho. To bad he is not there full time still.
VermontHunter
Re: ALL Star Race [ QUOTE ] Hendricks must focus on that during new employee orientation. [/ QUOTE ] Now that's an unfair statement Gordon has always taken responsiblity for his actions on and off the track,,,it seems that the younger drivers think they are all that....and aren't willing to state that they made a bone head move that cost another driver or drivers....I think you will see this in the Rousch and Yates stables as well.. RTF
Re: ALL Star Race If you watch the replays very closely at a certian angle, Vickers was mowing grass too during the incident. This happened in a turn which made it look like a total spin out caused by vickers. But for sure Bliss came down on him as vickers tried to get under. My first reaction was Vickers spun him out, no doubt. but several replys showed the boy had both left sides in the infield.

Would you wreck someone for a "chance" to win a million dollars? I felt terrible for Mike. That wasn't the track or time to do it. Just imagine if that was the last lap for the million. If Vickers will "help" wreck someone for $50,000 in an exhibition race, just imagine what he'd do for a million, or even his first win. He must be getting pretty frusterated though. He was going to be "the next great one" coming up from the Busch Series. 50+ starts later, he's got ONE top-5, and that was just a couple weeks ago. There is no way NASCAR can fine a driver for something he says on a TV program that has nothing to do with being interviewed live on national TV.
