Leo
They do essentially the same thing periferally weighted cams do. (ie. Many Matthews Cams). Bowtech Strings by Winners Choice have a couple of nock points under some shrink wrap at the serving near the cam. Too much is a bad thing. So if your shooting a Matthews or a Bowtech I probably wouldn't add them. If you can "try before you buy" and have access to a chrony try them out. VTbowman
Re: Do speed balls make u faster???????? They wrok a lot better on 2 cam bows then 1 cam bows but they will get ya a few extra fps on a 1 cam. I did some testing last fall on my mathews and got gains but not enough to say it made a difference to me. My buddie got huge gains on his though.. Guest antlers21
Re: Do speed balls make u faster???????? Same here, I tested them on my outback last year with moving them up and down the string and the couple extra feet per second just wasn't worth it. Guest bowhunter56
Re: Do speed balls make u faster???????? Speed, speed, no one talks about accuracy. does the fastest car always win in nascar? No one talks about form, concentration, or accuracy, its just speed. I don't understand it. Just my 2cents.

Guest bigbuckmiddaugh
Re: Do speed balls make u faster???????? do speed balls make your bow faster? Yes and no I've put speed balls on some bows, it actually slowed it down. Put some on other bows, gain'd speed, some gain 4-5fps, some was only 1-2 fps. Some likes them closer to cam, some further away, yes distance will make a difference too. Best is to shoot your bow thru chrono. add speed balls and play around with them. AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Do speed balls make u faster???????? I got a set of them coming from VTbowhunter for $5.00 dollars in the classifieds section along with TRU spyders to go with them. For that price I am willing to try them out and see what happens. hutchies
Re: Do speed balls make u faster???????? I agree. If you can't make a well placed shot it does not matter how fast your bow is. For me I have an older bow but I am comfortable and confident with it. I am not shooting 50 yard shots. 5fps........I agree who cares.
