RTF
Good deal on the decoys. Bad deal on your dad's friend. Good thing he thought of you.
huntn4bucks
Re: The Old Decoys I would have definitely been honored as well. It's hard for me to imagine the day I'll have to give it all up so I know it had to be really tough for him.
clayman
Re: The Old Decoys What a gift! He might appreciate an offer to join you for an occasional hunt. Even if he turns you down, he'll appreciate your offer. Otherwise, be sure he gets a couple of nice premium mallards all plucked and cleaned. hutchies
Re: The Old Decoys Not sure I will every give up. When I get old I may just have to build me a camoflage shack with electricity down in Texas on top of some hill but I guaruntee I will still be hunting. Palssonater
Re: The Old Decoys That must be a tough time. I can't imagine it. I would try and get him out a couple times into a comfy hunt. Even if he isn't shooting, being in a blind with hail calls coming from both sides is very threpeutic. It sure was nice of him to think of you with the old Dekes. There is history in those blocks! stevebeilgard
Re: The Old Decoys good thinking, dave. he doesn't want to quit hunting, he just lost his best hunting partner. give him a chance to live, and re-live, again.

Shaun_300
Re: The Old Decoys i was thinking the same thing as dogdoc, everytime you look at or use those decoys, you will think of them. it will bring back memories for a lifetime, keep passing them down through the generations!
