My First Northern of the Season!

well folks, up here in Canada it was the long weekend, so i headed up to the lake like i do every weekend. fishing season opened on saturday, i didnt get out til sunday because of the weather, i was throwing my good 'ol chrome Big-O for a while, never got a hit on it, so i threw on my Syclops spoon, 3rd cast... WHAM laugh.gif i thought i had a monster, he fought like heck! blush.gifcrazy.gifgrin.gif got him in and turned out to be a 3 pound northern, i was still pumped! i kept him for dinner! cool.gifgrin.gif

They're my favorite fish to fish for without a doubt. you cannot beat their aggresive nature.

You can't beat it, especially when it is a 40"er with a head like an alligator. I had that happen this past weekend.........I missed her. mad.gif

Amen to that!! grin.gif we went up to Lake Travers in Algonquin Park a couple years back to Muskie fish, we were throwing BIG Jitterbugs.... you'd see the wake come up and SPLOOSH!! missed everyone of the buggers! crazy.gifmad.gif
