Guest Finn
Re: quads Yamaha Kodiak 400. Very tough and doesn't break down....however, the ride isn't near as smooth as a Honda. My next will be the Honda Rubicon or Honda Rancher AT Good luck and let us know if you get one.

JimT
Re: quads I have an 01 Honda Rancher 350 2x4. I am not into mudding what so ever, so 2x4 is all I have needed. I use it to get to just one of my stands during bow season and to hang stands. Thats about it. I like my Rancher alot, and plan on owning it for many many more years. It has been a great hunting tool for me. Plus, the kids like to ride on it. Actually my daughter can drive it pretty good for only being five. With me on it of course. superguide
Re: quads We use Honda's for guiding they are fairly dependable but we can't keep brakes on them in the ice and mud so just learnn how to downshift lol. The smaller quads usually ride a little smoother than the big ones-I'd definately get a 4x4 or at least a 4x2 with a winch. If you are anywhere cold thumb and hand warmers are essential. If yours breaks on the trail you can get home by putting your mitts over the exhaust for awhile then driving till they get cold again-I'm talking -40 weather here. Guest gt2003
Re: quads 2004 Kawasaki Bayou 250, bought it a year ago. I use it to fill feeders, get to my furthest away stands and to haul out deer. It works perfectly and I only spent a little more than 3000 bucks for it brand new last year. Its hard not to get caught up in the bigger engines and camo coverings but realize how you are going to use it and then buy what best fits your needs. Shop with your mind, not your testosterone. It will likely save you a bunch of money.
