Strut10 Posted May 26, 2005 Report Share Posted May 26, 2005 The .41 Mag. oughta make a fine deer gun out to 75 or 100 yards if hits where it's pointed. I don't know as that I'd buy a .41 as my only hunting handgun, though. I'd get a .44 and be done. You won't find .41 shells at Wal-Mart. And a .44 can be loaded down to .41 levels if recoil is a problem. But you can't load a .41 Mag to .44 mag numbers. The .41 recoil has less percieved torque than the .44mag.
