WABS
Re: Favorite Rifles The rifle I've enjoyed the most over the years is my Remington 700 in .222 that I've hunted fox/coyotes with for years. Lots of history and great memories tied up in that gun.

Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: Favorite Rifles Pre 64 Winchester Model 94 in 30-30. I inherited it from my dad who got it as a present from one of his uncles when my dad came back from WWII. I used it to kill my first deer in 1968 and many others since. I don't use it anymore since I've got many others that are fancier and more powerful, but I wouldn't sell it for any amount of money. Strut10
Re: Favorite Rifles How do you pick just one??? Right now I'm having a good lot of fun with a Model 70 7 STW. I've got a M77 .220 Swift that's always a joy to shoot. Then there's an 1873 Springfield that's a blast to play with. My all time "go to" is a Model 70 .300 Win. Mag. The "meat gun" is a M77 .300 Win. Mag. There's a bunch of lever guns that are just plain cool. Don't expect to get a staright answer out of me on this one!! Guest bronco_mudder
Re: Favorite Rifles I agree with you Strut10, how do you choose just one? There are guns I really like to shoot, like my trap door, my BSA Martini .22, and my Browning 78 in 6mm Rem. But there are so many to choose from, you can't pick your favorite child, LOL. I guess if I had to pick one, it is the first brand new rifle I ever bought. Its a Tikka M695 in 7mm Rem mag. Its been my go to gun since I bought it when I was 18. You get so used to long time friends like this one, they just begin to feel like an additional arm. I've carried this rifle for years during elk, and moose seasons, and it has never a fall for deer hunting, it's never let me down, this is one rifle that will be with me for many years to come. too_pointer
Re: Favorite Rifles If I can include a muzzleloader rifle in here, it would be my TC Encore 50 cal. I think I have more fun and enjoyment shooting that than any others. I also have my Rem. 7400 in .270 that is fun to shoot and has knocked over alot of deer too_pointer

Guest WVHunter129
Re: Favorite Rifles I have 3 favorites in my gun cabinet: 1. Remington 700 synthetic stock in 30-06 2. Remington 742 BDL semi-auto in 30-06 3. Remington 760 BDL pump action in 30-06 Of course you will see that I am a 30-06 fellow. I do have a 303 British, all original, and I use to have a 7x57 (7mm) Mauser and a 8x57 (8mm) Mauser. I loved both of those...they were all original and shot very well. These were the ones that had the turned down bolt, not the straight bolt. From time to time I still look at the local pawn shop for a 8mm Mauser. The 7mm Mausers are hard to find now.
