Proper shotting form and broadhead selection

What did you have to change about your shooting style?

I've only shot 3 or 4 bows, but the draw lengths were the same on each and my anchor and form didn't change.

Could it be that on your first bow, you adjusted your shooting form to fit that bow instead of adjusting the bow to fit you?? If so then you will probably have an adjustment period.

As for your broadhead selection, what grain are you shooting??

Re: Proper shotting form and broadhead selection

It depends on which ACC's your shooting. I assume your either shooting the 500's or the 400's. If so, I'd either go with the Spitfire 100's or the Muzzy 100's, depending on which you prefer, mechanical or fixed.

Either way, you'll be pushing 6 grams per pound.

Also, with that set-up I wouldn't be surprised if you were shooting in the 270-280 range.

Re: Proper shotting form and broadhead selection

sounds like your shooting with proper form now.. nose to string and a solid anchor..

there are many books on the market to help you out..

Bernie Pellerite ....Idiot Proof Archery

Larry Wise ..... Core Archery

however i might suggest a series of videos from Bernie Pellerite .. the Shooters School series volumes 1 , 2 and 3..... this is what helped me so much .. watching those videos over and over ....

heres some links for the videos.. www.robinhoodvideos.com and for the books www.LancasterArchery.com

hope this helps.. if you need further help come into the competitive archery forum and ask shooting form or any shooting questions you might have...
