HuntingInMaine
Re: Woman as President???? [ QUOTE ] Pregnant women are crazy. I have been around enough of them to know that the world would end if a pregnant woman were in control. Now a non-pregnant woman? Maybe. They can be a little on the unstable side too. [/ QUOTE ] Nothing has been stated here that can't be said for men also. TSBH has told us why he doesn't want his wife to run for President, but still no reason why any other woman can't do it. It is really disappointing to find so many people in one place that feel I and other women are weaker and some how less able because aren't male. [ QUOTE ] The issue I have with it...what if it comes down to crunch time...destroy a nation or be destroyed...will they have enough guts to crush thier opponent? I'm a little leary about that. Sometimes, some harsh talking will steer the opponent the other way. I just see a tough leader laughing in her face, if she tries to get tough with them. I just don't know... [/ QUOTE ] I don't see the male politicians being tough with other countries. How long did we threaten Iraq and let them know we were would be invading? I think any female who runs for President would already be a lot more aggressive than a man just because it would be necessary to have gotten that far in a political career. And let's not forget, **** hath no fury like a woman scorned...

TSBH has told us why he doesn't want his wife to run for President, but still no reason why any other woman can't do it. [/ QUOTE ] Because they didn't ask "Why"....that's why! But in since you insist, women fall apart to easy. Stress boggles their mind and they get all crazy and disconbobulated. Women might be good at decision making, heck anybody can do that but most women can't handle stress that good. You have some hard dogs out there...as shown in Iraq...but the majority of them fall apart under stress. See, you should't of asked "Why". Now let me guess, your going to fly off the handle and come back with a bunch of words about how I am a woman basher. Let me save you some time, I am I love my woman, she is a good ol fashioned woman, and she is perfect right where she is at....HOME. Woman are always trying to get ahead of men. Guest Andrea
Re: Woman as President???? Okay...most if not all of the Hollywood actors aren't worth spitting on...but I've seen a few actresses who could pass for a woman President just based on her acting skills. Who would make a good one?? 1. Glenn Close 2. Alfre Woodard 3. and the meanest one out there but a political nightmare: Janine Garafolo. Not sure about spelling. Garafolo would NEVER get my vote because she's the epitome of left-wing liberalism, but she does appear to be the type that would not back down on anything. [ QUOTE ] Now let me guess, your going to fly off the handle and come back with a bunch of words about how I am a woman basher. Let me save you some time, I am [/ QUOTE ] Nope, not going to fly off the handle because this way of thinking is just what I expected from you. I am not angry at you, just feel a little sorry for you. Maybe you should think seriously about what yewbowman has written.
TreeStandBowHunter
Re: Woman as President???? [ QUOTE ] Treestand, I don't think you are a "woman basher" Thanks boss , but rather just insecure Nope...very secure about myself and family . I notice that you are in the military, and in so being, you are probably threatened by female superiors Your right, I can't stand them. Nothing is worse than a woman with a screachy voice yelling out commands who can't run 3 miles without dropping like a bad habit , therefore you have developed this insecurity, because in reality you are threatened by females who are perhaps smarter Definatley , more dutiful I doubt it , and advanced than you are Oh I am advanced but yes unfortunately some are more advanced. Alot of them get there by favors . This is also very common in police, and corporate fields. Thanks for the info This is very typical among men who base achievement on worldly position. However, when we learn to recognize the work given to women by God as being a Godly commission, we then can rest secure in our own manhood, knowing that we compete not with women, but rather women simply compliment us. [/ QUOTE ] Dude, that's pretty deep. Nonetheless, why do you feel the need to defend them. We have enough in here that can defend themselves. Are you scared to speak your mind in here ...no joking, nevermind. Look man, I am a warfighter and a Marine Leader. That's what I do. My wife is a stay at home mom and that's where she needs to be and she knows that and that's what she does. If you havn't figured it out by now, you cannot have an intelligent conversation with me because I have little paitence for things like worrying about a woman wanting to be put in decision making jobs and a man trying to defend that. I only do one-way conversations most of the time. Just ignore me and move on to the next guy. Pick on Slugshooter or something The question was asked, I answered it. I didn't want to say half the things I did in here but a selected few beat it out of me. See I could get all crazy here and tell people to pound sand but my shrink is teaching me how to relax and just brush things off my shoulder. In ending, what your saying is that I am going to **** because I think a woman should be at home. Isin't that what you were pretty much saying in the other post. Are you like a angel or something that you know all this. I thought only God decided who went to ****. You also said something being worse than a non-believer? Well if that's the case then it sure don't look good for the home team then does it

I thought that was very interesting. Even though I AM a woman, I don't know how I feel about it. I would surely vote for Bush though. What do you guys think??? [/ QUOTE ] Tell me where in there that it asks "Why" you think that. Moving on....You don't know what to expect from me because I change everyday. I like to keep people on their toes...like I am you . You feel sorry for me LMBO, please don't feel sorry for me. There are enough other people out there that you should feel sorry for. Me, I require no sympathy from anyone. Just wake me up on the right side of the bed, feed me and leave me alone for the rest of the day Hey huntin girl, you didn't read my 1st reply to this thread

Maybe if you wouldn't come in here trying to sound like a angel from the outfield, I wouldn't get so beside myself. So tell me, now that you have my attention, what are you implying? (Note my reply) [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Yeah you are going to be sorry I'll give you 15 minutes to back out before I answer alright Certainly you know where this is going to go right? [/ QUOTE ] Ya'll don't start bashing women now. I know that the President has all sorts of advisors and military "high-ups" telling him what he should and shouldn't do. But could a woman really do the job??? I just don't know. I can see this from both sides. Just thought I'd toss this one up in the air and let ya'll swat it around a while. BE NICE!!????!!!!?? (Esther comes to mind)...otherwise I believe most women are too emotional to do the job. Women never was created for leadership, and I would not vote for one if a qualified man was running....yewbow......you stated you have not voted in years??? Thats not based on any biblical principal I know of, in fact it goes agianst it. God fully expects you to do your part in electing good christian men and women to office. TSB....your as good as gone buddy....as soon as we can get President Hillarry to sign a presidential order to get your right wing butt off here!!...(WOW, why did I have the urge to barf!!???) [/ QUOTE ] bulldawg, I understand what you're saying here, but really don't think that this kind of weakness is only gender-based. The American people generally sniff out and vote against the militarily weaker opponent. Walter Mondale, John Kerry, Jimmy Carter, and Michael Dukakis come to mind. My mother would be a tougher leader than them! Sometimes a weak leader will slip through like Carter in 76 or Bill Clinton. Fortunately, Carter was gone in 4 years and Clinton was kept in check by the Republican House. Not only that, but to his credit, Clinton could indeed "talk tough." Granted, bombing an aspirin factory isn't a good display of military strength...but he did talk a good game, which is half the battle. wtnhunt
Re: Woman as President???? Heard Bill Clinton on an excerpt from a tv interview to flat out deny that Hillary has any interest in running for the presidency in 2008. He said she is focussing on being re-elected. Of course I dont believe anything Clinton says.

ParrotHead
Re: Woman as President???? From some of the comments I'm not real sure if we're trying to elect a woman or God to be President. I didn't read every thread but got the jist of things and I'll go out on a limb and be labled as whatever - No, I'll never vote for a woman for President. That's not saying there will never be one - just saying I won't vote for one - not even Condi or Laura.

slugshooter
Re: Woman as President???? I know this should probably be in a completely different thread, but since most everyone seems to be against a female president, what does everyone think about a black president, male or female, of course, if you voted for Condi you'd be getting two for the price of one. I will tell you one thing, I would vote for Colin Powell faster than most anyone else that comes to mind, even over John Kerry, but not John Edwards. bulldawg
Re: Woman as President???? Colin Powell would probably get a vote from me too, slugshooter. Ruby, I'm not saying that a woman can't get aggressive, but alot of woman get scared, and can't handle themselves in real bad situations. Don't get me wrong, there are some pretty tough women out there. But, there are also some cutthroat, take your head off and hand it to you leaders in some of these foreign countries. Just to act tough sometimes isn't enough. A woman has a tough time staying in someones face when the wolf calls her bluff, so to speak. Good job with the stick..lol. If those 2 guys wanted you bad enough, you would have had to use it for sure though.

And what I am trying to say is that they tell you what you want to hear and when they get into office they do nothing.
