Guest Big_Game_Hunter_64
after i lost 2 arrows at an outdoor 3d shoot i had an idea too put a little radio thingy into arrows and they send a signal to your gps so u can find ur arrows
fisherguy
Re: good idea? tell me what you think ummm three issues i see are 1. weight..it will make your arrow heavier, and have to be balanced in the shaft or something to make sure the arrow still flies straight. 2. Cost, it would probably cost a lot of $ just to save some arrows, and 3. I think the shock of repeatedly going from 0 to 250+ fps, then instantly back to 0 would prpbably destroy electronics after a while. Sure would be handy if it was workable though
VTbowman
Re: good idea? tell me what you think Umm to much weight I would think... Try some reflective tape wrapped around the shaft right behind the vane, between the nock and vanes. About a 1/4" to 3/8" wide piece is good. Once it gets dark a flash light will show you where those arrows are. I have done this for a few years now after loosing more arrows then I care to admit. I have found every arrow since I have done this... I actually use reflective tape wraps now so I got a 7" piece around every arrow and fletch right over them. Its works... MCH
Re: good idea? tell me what you think Actually not a real bad idea. A lot of 3-D guys would like a little extra weight on the nock end of their arrow. With today's technology, you could probably make a "homing" nock that will weight the same as a set of 2 inch fletchings. It would be a lot easier to get a low FOC... christsavedme
Re: good idea? tell me what you think Man you ought to look into this. You might have just stumbled across something to make you millions. Just figure out a way to get the weight down and get a patent on it and start selling....yea I know that is a lot of work, but think of the benifits.....LOL
Tominator
Re: good idea? tell me what you think Not a bad idea. Technology is getting cheaper and cheaper, and smaller and smaller.
