Re: good idea? tell me what you think

ummm three issues i see are 1. weight..it will make your arrow heavier, and have to be balanced in the shaft or something to make sure the arrow still flies straight. 2. Cost, it would probably cost a lot of $ just to save some arrows, and 3. I think the shock of repeatedly going from 0 to 250+ fps, then instantly back to 0 would prpbably destroy electronics after a while.

Sure would be handy if it was workable though

Re: good idea? tell me what you think

Umm to much weight I would think...

Try some reflective tape wrapped around the shaft right behind the vane, between the nock and vanes. About a 1/4" to 3/8" wide piece is good.

Once it gets dark a flash light will show you where those arrows are.

I have done this for a few years now after loosing more arrows then I care to admit. I have found every arrow since I have done this...

I actually use reflective tape wraps now so I got a 7" piece around every arrow and fletch right over them.

Its works...

Actually not a real bad idea. A lot of 3-D guys would like a little extra weight on the nock end of their arrow.

With today's technology, you could probably make a "homing" nock that will weight the same as a set of 2 inch fletchings.

It would be a lot easier to get a low FOC...grin.gif
