bowhunt101
Anybody know anything about the Mossberg ATR rifle? Looks to be a decent looking gun from the website but I dont know for that price and a rifle like that seems kinda iffy.-tim
AJ
Re: 100ATR???? For a beater gun, its ok. Wallyworld sells them for ~$250 ish. Its not going to win a beauty contest but it will work fine for the majority of hunting.
bearcat
Re: 100ATR???? I don't know anything personally about them since I don't own one. You might want to look at the June/July 2005 issue of OutdoorLife Magazine. Seven guys associated with the magazine tested new rifles and equipment. The Mossberg 100 ATR got bad reviews from the testers. The main complaints were poor fit and finish, erratic accuracy, and way to heavy trigger pull. The testers didn't recommend buying this rifle. spyderpancake
Re: 100ATR???? You get what you pay for. From what I've read, it shoots but that's about it. Like bearcat said, the Outdoor Life testers gave it the worst rating of any of the rifles they tested. I have handled them, and was not impressed at all. For a budget bolt-action I would get a Savage or one of the new Stevens, made by Savage.
