hutchies
Re: Shuttin\' Down The Nudie Bars I don't care to judge anyone. That is not my job. I am simply putting it that she should not come in here and talk about how if the bars get shut down she is going to be drawing disability and would not be able to support herself. There are other states she could move to if she wants to stay in that profession. There are people that move everyday to follow work. Just don't try to make me feel like we should be opposing this bill because it is affecting her. I know some people enjoy the clubs but I think if they are having that many problems with drugs and prostitution then this maybe the answer the state is looking for. Ruby also mention that some of the girls are coke snorting Wh**** and that they still would be after they quit dancing. I feel no remorse for anyone that has a drug habit. I am not saying Ruby is a bad person the reason possibly is just simply you are in the wrong profession at the wrong time.

bulldawg
Re: Shuttin\' Down The Nudie Bars I'm just going to touch on the "respectible" issue. How many times have you seen it where a bunch of people are talking, and all of them agree that they would just love to be a nude dancer? And, that that is a highly respectible job that everyone is just dying to do? You won't hear it very often. Therefore, in my opinion, and many others too, it's not a highly respectible job. It's a job, but that's not the point. Pulling chickens out of cages at chicken farms is not respectible work either. But it's nothing to get bent out of shape about, because it's not a highly regarded job. It's just a job, no big deal.
buckee
Re: Shuttin\' Down The Nudie Bars [ QUOTE ] who gets to boost our morale? ThethirdI
Re: Shuttin\' Down The Nudie Bars [ QUOTE ] Hey, did I say yet how much more strip clubs boost Troop Morale [/ QUOTE ] First of all I would like to say that Treestandbowhunter makes me laugh. Second of all I would like to say that I understand where Ruby is coming from. I have several female friends who have turned to dancing instead of other unfortunate roads and at first I was taken back by the thought of them asking me to come and watch but realized after I got there that it really didn't cause me to look at them any differently and I also realized that it is just a job like any other. They treat it like work. Sorry this got so crazy in here Ruby!
LifeNRA
Re: Shuttin\' Down The Nudie Bars I feel I need to ask just a few questions Ruby. Since this is a hunting, fishing, shooting, outdoorsman, and outdoorswomen forum. What brought you here? Do you do any hunting, fishing, shooting, or other outdoor activity?(besides walking in the woods!) If so, what have you hunted or fished for? It just seems like there is a lot of un-answered questions here. By all means, I really don't care what you do for a living. Your the one that has to live with whatever road you choose, not me! But this is a FAMILY SITE. What you do is NOT, family oriented! I feel you do not set a good example for our younger members here. I am by all means not a very religious person. Just a father who is sitting here right now wandering what some young person is thinking! JMHO! John

waterfowler_gal
Re: Shuttin\' Down The Nudie Bars After reading this post I told myself to ignore it but why not speak my mind about this one. What about the young kids on this forum???? I understand there are other topics that are pretty "mature" that are often found in the political room. A post named "Shuttin' Down the Nudie Bars" might catch their eyes.... BTW-Ruby I don't agree with what you "career" choice is but everyone has the power to change no matter what the situation is. If you have a dream and hope and determination it can be done with self-respect/value and faith. But it's your body and you have to live with your own skin and your decisions..... Good luck on your path in life I hope you find what you are looking for out of life....
TreeStandBowHunter
Re: Shuttin\' Down The Nudie Bars Not defending Ruby here but if the Mods in this room decided to let it stay, then they must of thought that it was suitable. As long as no one goes into details like A FEW almost did, it isin't hurting anything in here. Does it offend you On another note....LifeNRA had a point. This is a hunting and fishing forum Ruby, going off of your posts so far in your Realtree career, with the exception of a few, you kinda just kept in here talking about you being a stripper. Don't that seem odd to you?

[/ QUOTE ] Well, I wouldn't go as far as to say it's suitable. It's definately a borderline discussion. I'm still trying to figure out why Ruby joined a hunting forum to discuss her occupation. I haven't quite figured that one out yet.

slugshooter
Re: Shuttin\' Down The Nudie Bars In defense of Ruby......I'm sure you guys knew this was coming....I have talked to her in PM's the last couple of days, mainly off of a discussion I had with another mod who will remain nameless as to what her purpose was in registering on Realtree.com. As far as what she does in the outdoors, she hasn't hunted as of yet but has a friend that is gettting her into it and seems pretty sincere in wanting to learn and know about hunting, and what better place to learn than on the greatest hunting website on the web with some of the greatest, most knowledgable hunters around. Her first post was in the bowhunting room because that's what her friend is getting her into, as for her occupation, she felt that the issue she posted about was political in nature and the original idea posted has since turned into a moral discussion as to how "evil" her occupation is and that she needs to find other work. I wonder why some people get so turned off from this site rather quickly sometimes? The point is, she seems sincere in wanting to learn about hunting in general, and she just happens to be a stripper. Big whoop, Out of the thousands of members registered on the forums, I am sure there are plenty that have done jobs they are not proud of and, dare I say, some of our female members might possibly have partaken in the same trade. Let's give her a break as far as her job goes, instead of criticising her and help her out as much as possible in her new hunting pursuits, and yes, she is going to be more liberal than the majority on here, I just chalk it up to one less person who I might have something more in common with politically, it might not be as boring in here as it has been now that we have another vastly different perspective on things. I don't remember much about this room when I first started coming in here. But it wouldn't be much of a political room if everyone had the same opinions. Big whoop, Out of the thousands of members registered on the forums, I am sure there are plenty that have done jobs they are not proud of and, dare I say, some of our female members might possibly have partaken in the same trade. [/ QUOTE ] So Slug, when my daughter gets in here I should say its perfectly FINE that she can be a stripper when she grows up, because Ruby does it? How are you going to tell your daughter slug that its ok to be a stripper? Really, please give me some info now as a father on how I can tell this to my daughter! This should be good! [ QUOTE ] some of our female members might possibly have partaken in the same trade. [/ QUOTE ] Now if I were a female member in here I would consider this statement a slap in the face! How can you say this, do you know for a fact that this is true? Ruby, no offence, but like I said, this is a family site. Your occupation does not belong here. I understand where your thoughts are about your job and what the state is trying to do. But I feel this is not the place for it. As far as wanting to learn how to hunt. Yes, there is valuable info on this site. Please ask as many questions your heart desires. But leave your occupation out! One more thing! Family, Friends, and the Outdoors! Is what Realtree is all about. Got to also wonder what all of our Anonymous Users are thinking too! Make for bad publicity! John
waterfowler_gal
Re: Shuttin\' Down The Nudie Bars Quote: "some of our female members might possibly have partaken in the same trade." Yup now I am offended that you would "assume" something like that.... I thought my earlier post was worded rather friendly and on a honest matter. Yes I agree no one is perfect but does one need to really prance around about being a stripper on here on a hunting/fishing/family website? Honestly?! I am just gonna bite my lip... so I dont regret saying anything I shouldn't but still why don't you take a little consideration before assuming that us other women forum member's are like that.... How rude.
LifeNRA
Re: Shuttin\' Down The Nudie Bars [ QUOTE ] as to what lifeNRA has said... dude... if your daughter tells you shes having thoughts about stripping - tell her to email me with questions - i"ll set her straight. buckee
Re: Shuttin\' Down The Nudie Bars [ QUOTE ] if your daughter tells you shes having thoughts about stripping - tell her to email me with questions - i"ll set her straight. A strip club is where people end up when they're temporarily out of options. I would really NOT want to see a younger woman (or any one for that matter) go into the profession. Its a rough, sad thankless job and I'd be happy to set anyone straight from thinking that its fun or glamorous. I'll tell her horror stories that'll make her shower with her clothes on if ya want [/ QUOTE ] On that note Ruby, I think it would be a good time to lock this thread. Everyone has voiced their opinion on the Erotic Dancer trade and that is what you asked for.
