Credit Reports

This is legit. Go to this website web page and follow the directions and you can get a copy of your credit report for free. Apparently in 2003 the legislature passed a law that says you are allowed to get a free credit report once every 12 months. The credit agencies were concerned about overloading if the whole country started at once so they split it up into sections and Texas' became eligible today.

Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Credit Reports

My wife and I got our credit report for free from our bank when we refinanced our home. The purpose of checking your credit report often is to watch for identity theft...yet that site wants you to enter your first, last and middle intial...social security #...current address and previous address?

I really don't feel comfortable putting that kind of info. on the internet when you can get your credit report printed out from your bank. shocked.gif

Re: Credit Reports

Snappy...in order for a bank to give you a credit report, they would have to be a credit reporting agency. Most banks are not. It is actually illegal for most banks to give customers a copy of their credit report. Some do, don't get me wrong.

Also, the link above gives you three options. You can give your information via internet, phone, or mail.

Another thing to remember, is when a bank does your credit report....they do it over the internet. shocked.gif
