wtnhunt
Re: Chipmunk Termination No chipmunks around here that I know of. We get a few squirrels in our 100 gallon rubbermaid water trough every year over the summer when the water gets down a little.

HarvDog
Re: Chipmunk Termination [ QUOTE ] OK...I'm ready...REALLY ready! I have one of those Havaheart (until you actually catch them then do with them whatever you want ) traps, 2 rat traps, and my Chipmunk swimming pool all set. I'll let you guys know how I do with this pesky little things. [/ QUOTE ] Score one for the DOG! I got home today to discover one dead chipmunk in one of the rat traps. My havahart trap was tripped as well but I have a feeling my neighbor may have had a hand in that.

HarvDog
Re: Chipmunk Termination [ QUOTE ] good idea! we use something that we call the "Newfie Mousetrap" here its a 5 gallon pail, filled with a water/degreaser or javex mix, there is a piece of wire that runs through a pop can, that is attached to the pail at the top. you put some peanut butter on the pop can, and there's small ramp that goes up to the top of the pail, anyways the mouse will go up, jump onto the pop can, which is like trying to do a log-roll, loses his balance and falls into the concoction! that's the end of the mouse we have also caught a couple chipmunks in the trap as well. [/ QUOTE ] shaun_300 - I'm looking to implement another trap. Maybe something like this. Got any pix?
HarvDog
Re: Chipmunk Termination I forgot to give an update this morning. Squirrelhunter91
Re: Chipmunk Termination You do kill them after trapping them, right? If you try to relocated them, they will come right back. They are like homing pigeons. They know which way home.

And you think that they will actually make it back? My other option is a lady at work want to take them out to her place in the county about 70 miles further away. That has GOT to be far enough away, don't you think?
