WaCoyote
Ridgetops where you can see around you would be better. Just don't skyline yourself. Hide in a bush or against a tree. I like to set up where I can see a ways, but the terrain here is way different than where you are. Pretty much any decoy that resembles a food source would work. Actually I have a rabbit and a fawn dec but I've never called in a yote when they were set up. I don't always put them out and I'm not to sure they are all that necessary. I watched a video once where a guy used a pink stuffed rabbit and had great results. A decoy would be the least of my concerns if I were starting. Concern yourself with calls, calling, camo, and scent control. Good luck.
