[/ QUOTE ] your right it wasn't a big hit,,but the way the noses are designed today and with the smaller spoiler at the speeds they are going it doesn't take a big booming bump.... and as for Gordon bumping some you are right there also, except he took the blame if he wrecked someone, instead of calling them a big whinner like stewart and others do,,,,,,for example when Jeff lifted the rear of Kurts car a few weeks back and wrecked him,,,,right off the bat in the interview Jeff immediately said it was his fualt and shouldn't have happened.... This is what aggrivates me,,,when it's done to a Rousche car or an DEI car and they go off on a tantrum during a interview it's condoned, and expected,,,but let a Hendrick driver do that during a interview he's a whinner and complainer.... ,,,go figure.. Mr. Stewart I was listening to the race on the radio in my truck with a couple friends on the way home from a big bow shoot, and I was telling my bud's how impressed I have been with Stewart's change in attitude this year........less then 2 minutes later "BOOM"....guess I was wrong, lol. I've been a Gordon fan since his rookie year, and he did whine those first couple seasons, but you guys really need to get off that kick. He was ticked and said what was on his mind....end of story. If memory serves, Jr. was fined money and points in a post race interview last year for saying something dumb, and all his fans hear didn't think his swearing was a big deal and that Nascar over-reacted. Now the same guys here are saying that Gordon is wrong for spouting off in the same manner (but without the language). I'll be willing to put money on the fact that Gordon's comments were just that......comments, and nothing will happen to Stewart in the future at the hands of Gordon in a vengeful manner. Jeff pretty much said that he was going to wreck Tony if he got in the way. Now thats just ridiculous. Them cars may be built safe, but there is a very high risk that he could seriously hurt somebody if hes going to be pulling that crap on purpose. Not that Tony didnt, maybe he did, maybe he didnt. But to say that your going to do it is out of line if you ask me. Now JR wins a race and is thrilled and excited and accidentally slips a swear word during the post race interview. He didnt threaten to harm anybody...DIDNT harm anybody. Whats the big deal? Show me the comparison between the two incidents because I really dont see any........... And I also like how this has turned into a DEI bashing post eventhough the accident had NOTHING to do with any DEI cars. Funny how that works..... You wanted comments on the Jeffy/Tony crash and you didnt like what you got so you start bashing drivers who werent even involved. Ridiculous... Im done now. Mr. Stewart Becuase Nick it seems that the majority of the comments that were made were from DEI fans, that's plain and simple to see,,, putting up pictures to depict pouting and typing in the words Whaa, yep there's a legitament statement to the facts. I haven't seen any Jr. bashing at all, DEI or Jr. were used to make comparisons and thats it, but I do see plenty of Gordon bashing tho..... now there's rediculous.... And just how many drivers have you ever heard say the next time he's in front of me he going into the wall ??? I can name a legend in the sport, that has said it many, many times.....(Dale Sr ) himself, and I'm 99.999% sure there were others, it's just a reaction of the heat of the moment, Stewart and Gordon have a history and that's a fact just how many times have you seen Gordon hit Stewart ? I can't remember one but I can think of a few times Stewart has done it to Gordon, namely one time in the pit lane....( can't remember the track ). When you see Gordon make a comment or complaint it's whinning,,but when DEI makes the same comments or complaints they are justified,,,like I said earlier it's the old preverbial two way street it's OK for my team but not yours... Face it, he simply said something in the heat of the moment and I'm sure nothing will come of it. In fact I've heard Gordon say this stuff before and he never once acted on it. Mr. Stewart im back!!!!!!.... from dover!!!!! first off everyone here knows i like the 24/48 teams. i was sitting between 1 & 2....what i saw first hand, was gordon had handling problems with his car, he got a little down in the groove steward wanted to run in, & steward got a little aggravated about that & gave him a little nudge ( he had a good run on him).i don't think he ment to wreck him, he just should have found a better place to do it. it all started when they were going into the turn. NOT a good move in dover. i think gordon will get him back, just like the fued he had with rusty..gordon & steward were two of the best dirt track racers, so they know how to bump & get you loose. should get interesting. i kinda like what gordon said on the scanner myself!!!! he wanted to know if... It's getting old folks if you have some facts to contribute, please do so but just to state, the usual old crybaby stuff is getting alittle dull,,,, I like the sport of racing and love talking about it,,, wether it be Gordon, Jr, Harvick, Stewart and so on if the facts and opinions hold some wieght I can accept them but to just throw a one line digg and then run to me is a bigger cry baby than the person they are pointing at... I just wish more race fans could be like Chrud, Tedicast, Deldeer, and a few others atleast they can talk decent about a driver other than thiers, based on performance and facts... I would find that highly unlikely wouldn't you agree ?? and DEI and Rousch Racing were brought up for comparison sake ( as these are the top team in NASCAR ) as like any other debate, why is it called bashing when we use DEI and it's not bashing when it's the Hendrick Team ??? I just dont like his attitude and how he handles things. Gordon is definately a better driver than Jr. Just in my eyes Jr handles situations alot better than Gordon, doesnt blame other drivers for problems on the track (hence the whining), and doesnt throw the little kindergarten temper tantrums like alot of drivers do. And I think thats how alot of people see Jr and why they pull for him on race day. And speaking of "stirring the pot", i think your pots the only one getting stirred vermonthunter. Yep, I'll agree with on one point my pot is well stired, but that's nothing new for me Let's just face it when it come to Gordon making comments he's whinning and when other drivers make the same statements (IE...Jr) they are lagitament gripes... And for the record I think if you look at a few of my other posts on other topics you will find that I give each driver the respect they earned,,,,I happen to like Jr. as a driver,,,I just happen to be a Gordon fan... [/ QUOTE ] I can accept that snapper and go one step farther as to agree that some drivers get special treatment, which would include Gordon,,,,,but to call him a whinner or a complainer just becuase he makes a statement that other drivers had made in the past to me is just totally rediculous IMO.... And come to think of it he does have that little squeeky voice that can be irratating, but this definately in no way takes from his driving skills or knowledge of the sport....
