Be sure to offer something the hunting clubs don't. Our food plot has the only clover for miles and the deer go crazy for it. Sounds like you have the cover for them already with that "thick" underbrush" you were talking about. [/ QUOTE ] Both use salt licks and it's used mostly during the warmer months down here. I agree with everyone else about planting food plots on that 10 acre field. If you really don't need the entire field, you might consider planting about 4 acres of it in an irregular shape and plant the rest in oak trees.
