TreeStandBowHunter
Another member had a good point in one of the other threads in here. Just to show you where the world is going..... Why is it in todays movies, sit-coms and realialty shows they always have to have gay folks in there. You ever notice that? Don't you all think that is pretty bad? You should if you don't! That's just goes to show you how the world is getting more and more sensitive to these disguisting people
Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: Why is it Well, stop and think about it for a minute. Who creates these shows? Where do they live? Who are they around all of the time? How many of the writers, directors, producers and actors are gay? I would be a lot more surprised if we stopped seeing it. Just another example of how the left is losing credibility with mainstream America.
HarvDog
Re: Why is it Yeah...my wife and I were talking about this the other day. It is very sad and completely annoying. I don't want to think about that stuff much less see or hear about it when I'm watching a tv show or movie. As a matter of fact, they even had to throw a little bit of the old pitch and catch in this past season of 24. It's definitely of sign of the morale decay in this country! Sad... Guest Andrea
Re: Why is it My Mom was really excited when American Dreams started coming on on NBC a couple of years ago. She grew up in Philadelphia in the 60's and loved American Bandstand. It wasn't long til they aired an episode where someone "came out" and she hasn't watched it since. She was so mad. Gosh, there isn't anyone gay on "Lost" is there???
Gator
Re: Why is it My wife would watch Will and Grace, I think I pitched a fit long enough that she don't watch it anymore, I don't know why they have to show that crap on TV
Guest Andrea
Re: Why is it Will and Grace WAS funny, but the homosexuality got to be too much. If they had've left Jack the only gay person on the show and not really talked about it EVERY 5 seconds, then I might still be watching it. Not anymore!!!! The only gay people on tv when I was growing up ( that I remember) were on Soap and MASH. ( You know the guy that wasn't gay, but dressed like a woman and acted weird in hopes that they would discharge him?) Other than that, there were no gays on The Waltons, Little House, Bonanza, Andy Griffith, Hee Haw, Dallas, The Cosby Show or Growing Pains!!!!!!!!!! bulldawg
Re: Why is it Hoss was gay on Bonanza....................................... Had you goin there for a few seconds, eh? J/K Personally, if they never showed another gay person on TV again, it wouldn't be a problem for me!

texastrophies
Re: Why is it You (all of you) need to stop living such a sheltered life, and realize they (the shows) are just being geared to the majority of the viewing public. I started this response as being a smart aleck one, and then pretty much realized what I was saying (about the shows) is true. If people weren't watching them, they wouldn't be on. wtnhunt
Re: Why is it Have to be careful about shows on during primetime while the kids are still up nowadays. [ QUOTE ] Well, stop and think about it for a minute. Who creates these shows? Where do they live? Who are they around all of the time? How many of the writers, directors, producers and actors are gay? [/ QUOTE ] Was thinking the same thing. Probably 20 years ago they were afraid to admit they were gay. Nowadays gays want publicity and they get it. Think it is too late to change what has happened, but you can still control what is viewed in your own home. johnf
Re: Why is it [ QUOTE ] If people weren't watching them, they wouldn't be on. The almighty dollar still rules the roost. [/ QUOTE ] People watch the shows because of truely talented and good writing. Then the writers force feed the audience their lack of morals when they get hooked. Look at the TV show "Ellen". That was a great show, very entertaining very good writing. I watched it every week religously. Then when she "came out" it was just another in your face gay advicousy show. I stopped watching it when she "came out" We watch mostly outdoor channel sci-phi and disovery anymore.

ParrotHead
Re: Why is it What percentage of Hollywood is liberal? Lets just say 75% for arguments sake. 75% of your television/movies etc. are going to have some sort of liberal clammer about them - it's shock treatment just at a slower rate. They believe that if they can infiltrate the minds over a longer period of time then at some period, they'll have a majority voting populace on the same page as they are and at that point, they've won. The frightening thing about all this is - they are winning and they've poured on the heat here in the past few years. The liberal crowd is pitting Christianity against homosexuality and as witnessed last Nov - the Christians won.....all-be-it a very slim and narrow victory. How many terms do they have wins in them??? My guess is not many.

Nor do I personally think shows should be banned. Heck, I would even watch a show with a gay character if it was a good show---but given the overall garbage on the tube these days, that's not likely. If you start to look at that, you then have to scrutinize everything else that is morally wrong or even morally questionable on television--don't you? Really, think about it....here are "the seven deadly sins" with entertainment examples. Sex in the City...lust Emeril...gluttony The Apprentice...avarice The act of sitting around watching TV...LOL...sloth Law & Order, Walker Texas Ranger, any later-prime time drama...wrath. Basically every sitcom out there....envy and pride When I die, I'm certainly going to the lake of eternal fire because I think Lori Dhue on Fox News Channel is hot or because I laughed at Robert on Everybody Loves Raymond because he's jealous of his brother. lol Any normal adult is NOT going to have their values changed by watching TV. I, for one, watch TV for entertainment--not to make moral judgements on characters. I think the only real danger television poses to society is how it really can warp the minds of impressionable kids. That is each kids PARENTS' job to watch out for. We should not in any way support weakening our already limited freedom of speech. And as television viewers, our CONSUMER choice should not be threatened because some group wants to raise everyone's kids for them. Yeah, kids are going to be exposed to immoral things. No matter how good a parent is, they can't filter everything. (Too much can even be harmful)But if you raise your kids with a good set of values, they'll overcome the negative things out there in the world. preacherman
Re: Why is it I was even watching Sportscenter the other day and they did a special heralding a guy who played on a LaCrosse team that "Came Out Of The Closet!" stevebeilgard
Re: Why is it i can answer that question. and it's easy. the liberal networks (all of them) want us to think that gays are everywhere, and normal. they want you to see that they are just like us. well, i personally liked it when gays were in the closet, and called what they are...queer. besides, they are not gay at all. they are an abomination of nature, and would be more properly called "miserables". is my redneck showing... lol
