Ok here goes.....I called one of my lawn customers to see if his yard was ready to be cut, well his wife who has had a stroke and isn't very coherent answers the phone and tells me they have been wanting me to come out for days now. So I hurry over there to find out she thought I was the tree guy they had hired out....needless to say it was a wasted trip. With gas at 2.08$ a gallon that gets annoying! So my buddy calls me and asks me to go fishing with him. Since I didn't have to work I head over to his place to wet a line. I get there and the fishing is terrible. He mananges to pull in a small channel cat which I put on the stringer for him. I have a hold of this thing fixin to string him up when he goes nuts. He ends up sticking his fin right through my finger slicing me open about an inch and a half. So here I am cussin and bleeding like crazy. If you have ever been slit open by a catfish you know it hurts! I get the bleeding to stop and we decide to go to my house. We get there and things seem to get better. the fish are biting and we have a stringer of 4 nice bass. I catch another nice one and put him on the stringer and as I turn to walk away I hear a splash and turn back around to see my stringer yank out of the ground into the water. I dive in after it only to miss it.....lose my stringer.......get soakin wet....and really ticked! There went my supper, and my stringer, and I pray that those fish don't die! Thats not all!!!!! I walk up to my truck and change jeans ( I always carry a spare ) and I think to myself....man this just ain't my day! Well I walk back to the pond and throw my buzzbait and as soon as it hits the water!!!!!!! BAMO!!!!!! I have amonster fish on the line. I fight and fight and fight this lunker to the bank. He tries to jump but can't due to his impressive mass. I am about to have a cow because this fish is a catch of a lifetime. I am talking 10lber baby! Well he gets to the bank and I reach down to get him when he takes one more run at it...........SNAP!!!!!!! My line breaks, and so does my boiling point. I had myslef a little fit right there on the bank. Talk about a mad YB15....I was hot lol. So after that I packed it up and went home. It was a rough day. Shaun_300 Posted June 10, 2005 Report Share Posted June 10, 2005 Re: Ever have one of those days? sounds like you had a pretty bad day. mine was pretty good, i was working, but i love work. the only thing bad about my day, was at 3:30, this BIG 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD came in for an oil change. i usually love working on these trucks, but this one had a HUGE camper on the back, so we couldnt put it up on the hoist to do the oil change. my foreman says: "ok Shaun, you can do that big truck" so anyways, i had to crawl around on the ground a creeper for this job. have you ever saw a 6'4" guy try and crawl around on a creeper? its a pain trying to lay down and get yourself balanced and laying in the right spot. so i get down there, go to loosen the oil plug, and what happens? i have the wrong sized wrench!!! i had the 15mm instead of a 16mm. so i have to crawl back out from under the truck get the right one, get centered on that dang creeper again, get back under the truck, and find out that the plug is TIGHT, and I mean TIGHT! i was not getting back up to get a ratchet, so i put the wrench on it and pushed, i had to push so hard that i could see the wrench bending! LOL! finally i get it out, and of course, the pressure from the 10 liters of oil that this Duramax 6.6L Turbo Diesel holds sprays the oil all over me, i go to get out from it, BANG, hit my head on the frame! ....anyways, you get the picture! i've had better days... I've found that loading up a .22 semi-auto and finding an old stump or post out back and pounding it rapid fire does wonders to my mood. "one of those days" is no longer funny sittin there mindin my own buisness in the little benches they put up inside the movie theater to wait for the movie? waitin' on my date right?? This little kid comes up and sits beside me i like lil kids so I was like "hey buddy hows it goin" HE SPILLS HIS DRINK ALL OVER ME THEN STARTS TO LAUGH to top it all off it was RED koolaid, and my date comes up and starts to laugh askin if i still wanna see mr and ms smith and I'm like, "no thanx, I'd rather go home."
