I have some money comming my way from house plans an im thinking of throwing down for the combo kit. What do you all think? Pretty good deal or junk? oo_buck
Re: Worth the money or Junk? I've never shot one of Rossi's single shots..... I would suggest checking into the H&R combo's..... H&R/NEF = good gun for the money http://www.hr1871.com/ Seems like you could buy the rifle, have a shotgun barrel fitted to it, couple of different calibers.....sucks cause ya have to send the frame and forearm in and wait, but they work well when done.... just my $0.
Jeramie
Re: Worth the money or Junk? I have had a NEF .223 single shot. It was a great little rifle and accurage as all get out. This was just a good deal so I though about spending the money.
JimT
Re: Worth the money or Junk? Wow...The gun and three barrels for $250.00..Thats cheapo. I do not see how you can go wrong...I would assume they would be "deer" on all day?
too_pointer
Re: Worth the money or Junk? Well, the $$ is certainly sounding good !! Maybe AJ has some experience with this gun. The price for a barrel on my Encore is more than your 3 barrel set-up too_
7th
Re: Worth the money or Junk? I have the youth modle in the .22 lr and .410 for my son. I love the side saftey for them, it blocks the hammer from falling. The only thing is they are lite and it kicks the most of any .410 I have seen? We have had the one for about 3 years now and never a care about it and it shoots good for starting but the opne sites for the .22 are not very good but they are drilled and tapped. Good luck with it. Frank.
AJ
Re: Worth the money or Junk? The Rossi is a crude looking H&R. Personally, I would go for a H&R/NEF gun. I would get a Handi Rifle in your choice of calibers, and add a Huntsman ML barrel. Granted you would not have the rimfire barrel, but you would have a better gun. I have a few of the Handi Rifles and they are great little guns.
Jeramie
Re: Worth the money or Junk? Thanks gang. I had the NEF Single shot before. It was great rifle but I let it go. Now im ready for another and I found this while surfing. Looks like I have to go back to NEF. Thanks again!
