gitcha_some
if any of you are looking for a thrill...but also a loss of hearing and sore wrists...then i suggest you buy yourself the new .500 s&w magnum... My cousin just bought one and invited me to "sight-in" with him on his farm.. Well sighting-in a normal pistol is fun but then there is sight-in the pistol that makes the earth tremble like a qauke. we didnt get anywhere near close to sighting it in because you had to grip it so hard so it wouldnt hit u in the forehead and knock u out lol.. so then came the power test... my genious cousin decided to find out if a 50 cal fmj bullet can travel through the 2 feet of brick fireplace and the follwing three walls of the abandoned farm house.. needless to say we now had some very nice ventilation in the house and thigns were looking good on the power test

Guest lilcrackshot
Re: the hand cannon of all hand cannons The 500 doesn't kick as hard as the 454 Casull in my opinion

[/ QUOTE ] No need to get yer knickers in a twist. Your first post was plenty..... If'n yer are gonna put out a heavily exaggerated statement like you did you have to be ready for the feedback, be it positive or negative. I've shot the 500 and found it quite plesant to shoot. The recoil impulse isn't a violent upward whip of the barrel, it's much more of a stout but controllable rearward push. I too feel the 500 Smith is much more shooter friendly that a .454 Casull, in a single action type revolver. hangunnr
