Muff Posted June 12, 2005 Report Share Posted June 12, 2005 I was in a golf tourny yesterday...on the one par 3 hole they had a closest to the pin prize....well I stuck one within 3 feet (yeah never done that before) so we go to the bar b q and I wait for my prize.....they gave away long drive for men and women and closest for women......then the guy comes to me and get in my face and says to bad for you we are not going to give you a prize?????? well my buddy jumps in and it just about comes to blows but I jumped in front of him and just walked away....never go in that tourny again! You're closest to the pin, and someone comes along, sees your name there and decides to move the marker. It's never happened to me personally, but guys in my group for sure. My regular team was busy for the one outting so I filled in on another team for a guy they were missing. Teams are not set teams and outtings are just for fun.There's prize money awarded for closest to the pin and longest drive and at the end for all teams for order they finished. Prize monies come from tickets sold for the daily lottery by some of the regular golfers (ME) The team I was on was with the guy that over looks the outtings. When our team for the day was given their prize money for finishing in 3rd. place I was left out.The money was slpit 3 ways instead of 4??
