Chrud
Re: AXIS...? For the money, the straightness tolerances of the Axis aren't real good. If you like the HIT, go with the Beman Black Max. They are cheaper than the Axis and are +/-0.003" rather than the +/-0.005" of the Axis. I'd opt for the Gold Tip Pro Hunter though. Same price as the Axis, but +/-0.001" and +/-0.5 grains per dozen. [/ QUOTE ] Tighter straightness tolerances help with consistency. I shoot the .003 Gold Tip XT hunters

[/ QUOTE ] John has it. You might not notice a huge difference, but I notice the difference in broadhead tuning. Plus, if arrows are close in price, why not go with better tolerances? Guest antlers21
Re: AXIS...? I agree, I used the axis arrows last season and never saw any huge differences until I got some GT Xt hunters and started shooting groups.
Guest psejake16
Re: AXIS...? Axis. I went to the ATA show and watched a guy shoot one into a steel door frame 5 times without it breaking. They are tough and get alot of penetration.
