Jeramie Posted June 13, 2005 Report Share Posted June 13, 2005 We went fishing last week, for sandbass. There was a guy just upstream from me catching catfish. He hung into a larger cat (roughly 12-14lbs). He was using 8lb test and a bass rod so it became a good fight. The area we were fishing is lined with very large rocks. I went to lend a hand to keep him from busting his line. We got the fish in and he thanked me. I went back to my bass rod. I was catching a few sandies and he made his way over. "Are you cleaning any fish?" I hope so, I said. I would hate to think i would be out here for nothing. He handed over a stringer of catfish and the bag of shrimp he had been using. Its next to impossible to turn down a haul like that..... I mean, I didnt want to let the poor guy down! Needless to say I have enough for a decent fish fry!
