This is a spin off of the classifieds for the GTs. I shoot 2315 aluminums right now at 70 lbs of draw. i've been pondering going to carbons for speed and reliability. what size carbon would be best for me?

what would be the best rest to go to if I decide to go with them?

thanks to all who reply

Re: Carbon questions

I shoot the Goldtip XT's 7595 I think is the number, and I shoot right around 70#. It's a bit over spined, but it seems to work just fine.

I'd suggest some type of fall away rest. There's a lot of good ones on the market now--Trophy Taker, Muzzy Zero effect, NAP, etc.

Re: Carbon questions

If you go to Easton's site online they have a chart that will fit your bow's needs. The chart will tell you what arrow to choose. I shoot Easton C2's in Realtree HD and love them.

As for a rest, lots to choose from, from drop aways to containments like the Whisker Bisquit, lots of choices, all depends on what you what to spend and what you feel comfortable setting up.

Good luck in whatever you decide.

If you are shooting spots or 3d I would get a dropaway rest. Otherwise I would get a Whisker Biscuit.

Can't be said any better then this.

As for arrow I like the GoldTip XT5575. Thats what I used on my 70# Mathews when I was a compound shooter.. LOL
