Tominator
OK, who's your pick to win it? You know I'm rooting for my boy Ben Curtis, but he's only made 3 or 4 cuts this year I think. Goosen is up there already, and so is Toms. I'll go with those two, with Tiger being in that mix too.
buckbuster11
Re: U.S. Open I dont want to see Goosen win but I think he is going to be right there. I like Els and Woods to make a run at it also. Golf at 10 am on Thursday....cant beat that eh Chris?
VABuckSlayer
Re: U.S. Open I'm going with my boy Phil. If he can keep it in the fairway... his short game will pull him through. Conditions are suppose to be TOUGH. I watched a show on the golf channel last night and a guy was dropping the ball 3' away from the pin on 3 sides and the ball rolled off the green. I can't imagine playing a course like that! That brutal! Eric
TreeStandBowHunter
Re: U.S. Open I would like to see Phil win as well. Anybody but Woods . I like Phils style and I like Love III and Els as well. Any of those three would be great
Ohiobucks
Re: U.S. Open I like Els this week. He has a great track record at the US Opens, seems to bring his game to the highest level for this one.

AdvantageTimberLou
Re: U.S. Open Tiger Woods is in a good spot right now and I can see him taking off with a big lead and nobody catching him....my pick is Tiger Woods. Lou
Guest Finn
Re: U.S. Open Phil shot himself out of it this morning. I hope David Toms wins. No VJ or Goosen.
Tominator
Re: U.S. Open Well, end of play Saturday, and looks like my Goosen pick might hold. I'll still say don't count Tiger out, he's only 4 off the lead? I'd really like to see one of the dark horses win, Gore, or that other guy. Gore winning would be the best. Guest Finn
Re: U.S. Open This course doesn't allow low scores. I couldn't believe when I heard the 4 under 66 score shot Friday was the lowest ever on Pinehurst. Goosen probably won't make enough mistakes to catch him. He seems like a good guy so good for him if he wins his third. I liked David Toms and had he not gone double/triple to finish Friday, he'd be right there. buckbuster11
Re: U.S. Open I dont see Goosen blowing a 3 shot lead. I hope he does though, because I think this is shaping up to being a boring final 18.

Tominator
Re: U.S. Open I've seen better Opens. Kind of disappointed Tiger didn't pull it out. Totally glad the stiff Goosen lost it. Don't like a guy who shows absolutely no emotion at all.
TreeStandBowHunter
Re: U.S. Open Yeah, I sorta feel the same way about Woods. I am glad he didn't win. You know who I miss seeing, David Duval and Mark O'meara. What ever happened to those guys.

[/ QUOTE ] David Duval developed a bad case of vertigo apparently, which he's still battling. He still plays, in fact, I believe he played this past open, but didn't make the cut. He gets cut and sometimes has to withdraw from tourneys because of the vertigo. Mark O'Meara is still around too. I think I watched him at The Memorial a few weeks ago. I won't swear to it, Aaron distracted me with a few beers.
