AJ
First off welcome to the forums. I have had my 11-87 Super Mag since ~2000 or 2001. I have put a thousand or so 2 3/4" target loads, about 100 heavy field loads, and about 40 of the 3.5" magnums through the gun. When new, it would not cycle the light target loads reliably. Since then Remington has come out with the extra seal and when its installed, they cycle perfectly. It has never missed a beat with heavy field loads (high brass). I would venture to say that the ones that speak against the gun do not like the 1100 or the 11-87 to begin with.
archerjg
Re: Remington 1187 SPS super Mag I have the same gun and I have had no problems with it ejecting. I have only fired 3" through mine, but I will start shooting 2 3/4" through it shortly. Archerjg
too_pointer
Re: Remington 1187 SPS super Mag Iv'e had a ton of Rems. all semi's, and I find that with most of them there seems to be a break in period. With my 1100 lt 20ga. I had to run several boxes of heavy ammo through it before it would reliably cycle the real light loads. You might find the same with your gun. too_pointer
