T/C shockwaves in my Omega, 260 gr Winchester Platinum tips in my Disc Extreme, 295 gr powerbelts in my wife's Wolverine, and a .530 roundball in my GPR with a .018 T/C pillow ticking patch.

Re: which bullet to you shoot?

iam back shooting my powerbelts. i shot the shockwaves or sst's and my better groups came from the one i started out with and am back to shooting my powerbelts. i know what they are going to do ao if it ain't broke i am not changin it. i learned that pretty quick. shooting 1 inch groups at a 100 with the first two touching so that is very acceptable to me and well worth my confidence factor

I use a Nosler Handgun .44 caliber bullet!!!! Then i use a .429 sabot to make it .50 cal! They are 250 grains!!! Its a custom load!!! Seems to work best for me when my gun is shooting good!!! I think i got it firgured out!! I bought some new powder andseems to be doing much better!

Re: which bullet to you shoot?

I used to shoot 300 grain Hornady xtp's with 90 grains pyrodex in my knight wolverine. They shot great groups but didn't do the job for me on deer. AJ told me about Precision Rifle bullets and man am I impressed. The deer I shot with the XTP's ran forever and ever. I shot a 5pt. Monday with the p.r. bullet (220 grain dead center) and 100 grains of 777 powder. He dropped in his tracks. The entrance wound was probably 2 inches wide by 4-5 inches long. It was incredible. I almost gave up muzzleloading before this year. Now I'm thinking of using my ML during rifle season just to see what it'll do with this bullet at different distances.
