jerdanmagic
Anybody got any suggestions or tips on skinning and tanning a rattlesnake? I just killed a 5 foot Timber Rattler yesterday, and I'm thinking about skinning it if its not too much of a hassle. Any help would be appreciated!!! Squirrelhunter91
Re: How to Skin and tan a Rattler I don't think that you can skin it out. Send it to a taxidermist that does freeze drying. That should be able to help you. I might be wrong.

Jeramie
Re: How to Skin and tan a Rattler [ QUOTE ] Skin it out, cover with borax and then pin it down on cardboard or 2x6. [/ QUOTE ] I killed a timber rattler years ago (19-rattles and a button). We split it up the stomach to the head and did exactly what Ryan said. Use a board, it will work better.
