Guest madabouthuntin
Well, as I said in the subject, I haven't got a deer yet this season. I did see a few of them a week ago. I had a crow that sounded like he was steroids holler and scare them off... TWICE I did get a Racoon and saw a Coyote. The only shot the Coyote presented me was when I first saw him. I didn't have enough time to get into position and get a shot off before he was into the thicker woods. The Racoon on the other hand... well there were three of them, now there are two! We have had a problem with them here. I had one last year on my porch that stood up on his back legs with me standing not 5 to 6 feet from him. There are a lot of reports of rabid racoons around here each year. I want to get rid of any I can. Any of you that has a lot of Coyotes around, do you have problems with them and your deer herd? I have noticed the deer are seen less since they showed up here. Has anyone notice problems like that around your area? Steve

Doc
Re: No Deer yet, but a ..... [ QUOTE ] They do take a toll on Deer. However, I do not think it is a noticable toll. [/ QUOTE ] I'm starting to get a feeling that the toll they take is on the attitude of the deer. I never see a relaxed deer anymore. They always seem to be in the same mode as heavily hunted deer. I'm just wondering if this has anything to do with the sudden increase in the coyote population around here. Doc
